Hey everyone, so I just wanted to tell you guys that if you see a juice on a vendors site that doesn't have any reviews for it, BEWARE! I'm not going to name the vendor that I bought the juice from, because I think it would be a little unethical to put them on blast like that; but I bought a juice about a week ago and when I first tried it I was really disappointed in it since they advertised it to be amazing. So in an attempt to save my fellow vapors some money, I wrote a review about the juice that wasn't exactly in favor for it. Well, after running out of all my other juice, I didn't have any other choice but to vape on that one because I sure as heck wasn't about to smoke the stinkies again! After using it for 3 days straight, I actually became quite fond of it. So since I felt that my previous review wasn't valid anymore, I went back to the website to go change my negative review to a more positive one. Well, they obviously felt that since my review was the only one that they would've had on it was negative and they probably didn't want that to cut into their profit, they didn't post my review. I personally feel that that was unacceptable, and I won't be buying from this vendor anymore. So long story short, if you're looking to buy a juice that doesn't have any reviews on it, just be careful about it and don't expect anything amazing...

Keep on vaping friends! :vapor:

Uh....did you try steeping the juice?

I set it aside for about a week; so yes. And I realized that after steeping for a week, my negative review wasn't valid anymore which was why I wanted to change the review. But that's not really the point of this post... the point is that some vendors (or at least this one) apparently don't post the negative reviews from customers.

i'm gonna put the brakes on this thread....taste is subjective, plus....if a juice is brand spanky new, it could be absolutely amazing, but won't have any reviews....there is no justification for not buying juices without reviews that you can throw at me...end of discussion.

I completely realize that taste is subjective, guys. I'm not trying to bash on the vendors juices at all. I was just saying that I was disappointed that they didn't even post my review. I'm sure that everyone else that would've read my review realizes that taste is subjective as well... so they might not even have taken it as "good" advice.

Please understand that I'm not trying to bash on any vendors juices here... which is why I also didn't name any names.

Yes, if a particular vendor website has only glowing reviews for every product, it is a bit of a red flag for me. I think it's sleazy to remove bad reviews.

I left a less than great review one time as a result of my order being filled incorrectly (some wrong strengths, some wrong juices). The vendor contacted me and offered to fix the problem ASAP and requested that if I was satisfied I could change my review to reflect that. I thought that was an awesome way to approach the problem of bad reviews. I changed my review to reflect that they'd had a little mix up with my order, but the customer service to get it fixed was outstanding. In retrospect I should have contacted the vendor first to fix the problem before leaving a review, but I was newish and didn't realize how many vendors were concerned with providing good customer service.

while i understand all of the points on this thread, i'll send your attentions back up to the OP for a moment, where it was stated that it was a bad idea to buy juices with no reviews, as in no good reviews, no bad reviews.....i have issues with this:

1. the primary issue with this is if a juice has no reviews, yet people are supposed to not buy it, how is that juice EVER going to have any reviews, good or bad? if it seems interesting like you'd want to try that, try it, if you don't like it, pay it forward or sell it in the classifieds....

2. the fact that this was posted in the new members forum spreading information about how you should not buy juices from vendors if it has no reviews, which indirectly points right back to the first issue and magnifies the issue x1000....we are a community filled with guinea pigs, like it or not, we are constantly experimenting on things, and we need to try it to give reviews, your advice would send progress for vendors to a screeching halt.

3. have you ever thought that perhaps reviews might take a while to hit the site? i mean i know you said a week ago or so, but if they get those put into an email address and buried under 3000 other things like orders, other reviews, etc....it could take multiple weeks to get it posted.

i understand that websites may look sketchy if nothing has negative reviews, however, i'm not going to stop buying juices without reviews just because you said so, and i'm damn sure not going to stop buying juices without reviews at one vendor or another just because i got one bad juice from that vendor....this is trial and error, and someone out there may LIKE that juice you are complaining about.....so in short, i really can't see how you can justify the point of your entire first post to be completely honest.

QBerry21, the point you were trying to make wasn't lost on me .I totally agree that all well thought out reviews, positive and negative, should be published and that any site that has only glowing reviews should be viewed by customers with a skeptical eye.

Taste is indeed subjective and even the most loved and hyped liquids on this site are not loved by all. By it's very nature , a review is only one's perception of their experience with a product ,service ,performance etc. No opinion , be it raving or scathing is invalid.

I totally get where you're coming from and understand all the points you made; and agree with most of them. I think you misread my OP though. I never said that people shouldn't buy juices that don't have any reviews. I simply said that they should be aware. That's all... I would never tell anyone what to do on here since I'm still pretty new to this myself; and would never expect anyone to even listen to me if I really had told them not to.
I think this was mostly just a misunderstanding...

There is no relationship between vendors who delete negative reviews, and, juice that has no customer reviews. Logically, these are 2 different events, even though in your case they happened to be "connected" to each other. :)

Juice reviews here, as well as on vendor sites, don't necessarily coincide with my own taste buds, so I really don't pay much attention to them anyway. The amount of $$ most of us have spent on juices that *everyone* seems to love and that we don't end up liking is probably pretty dern high.

But I agree that vendors should not delete them, although I have no way of knowing if they delete them or how many. I would ask the vendor, because if I spend time writing a review, it's really for everyone's benefit. If a vendor receives neg reviews on a juice, it would be instructive to them to either change the formula or delete it from their product line. IF they are smart, they are "listening" to their customer, because that is how all businesses improve.

The ones who don't think that way will be out of business sooner than later, so we needn't worry about them. :)

Sorry you had that bad experience though.

I totally understand where you are coming from, and personally I like to see both negative and positive reviews of a product prior to purchasing. I just spent the morning reviewing a few of my newest juices and I would hate to go back to a site and see that my review was never posted. Maybe we shouldn't "beware of juices that have no reviews" but instead beware of juices that have only positive reviews, IMO. Interesting topic BTW.

You will find some vendors that don't even have a place for reviews on their site, that hardly means that they should be considdered a bad vendor. Also, with some of the BS that can show up in reviews, it shouldn't shock anyone that vendors review them first for content. A 4 letter word can even put a nice review in the round file.

Just make sure you give the juice a couple weeks before you review it. I'm used to people reviewing it unsteeped and giving it negative reviews. I really don't pay much attention, I get it anyways if it sounds like something I may be interested in. After all, I don't like much of the popular e-juices out there.
