There are several on-line stores taking advantage of the "Japanese organic cotton" trend. Koh Gen DO, or Serena, Muji, Shiseido etc. These cotton pads average 12 to 15.00 a box of 60 pads , which are then split in half and you get enough for a long, long time.

The buzz is getting around so there are some sites selling it for up to 2.00 a pad. I think this is outrageous and criminal. Some might say that if someone is fool enough not to do a simple Google search then too bad. I dont think so. These are fellow vapers that are supposed to be helping etc. I can understand a "mark-up" but REALLY?

There is one place that sells it with the name of Chaddos , they say it comes from Japan and is grown in secret valleys and picked by , who the heck cares...
THen there is [edited] that sells it for 2 dollars a pad. If it is not cool to post the names, then Im sorry.

Just beware..... If you really want to try the cotton you can get a box from Sephora, the Dermstore or Barneys Ny for 12.00 and free shipping.

This is just horrible to take advantage of people.

I just did another search and found another site selling it for 3.00 a pad. Complete with an audio "person" on the site claiming to be the best of the best and working for the "community" [edited]

Really? buck a ft, thats horrid. At least, in most applications, a coil can be used quite a lot of times, dry burning. But cotton, geez, I change the wicks daily....... I guess they figure they get a few "newbies" and they pay for the roll in no time.
I did find one place that sells the pads for .50 cents a pad. Its still a big profit, but at least those that are hesitant to buy a whole box can try it out and not be stuck with a whole box.

Even on Ebay where I get my kanthal, I see 100 ft rolls for 20 some , when you can get it for 5? and free shipping. WHy would anyone pay that price when on Ebay you can choose from many vendors?

I just dont get it, maybe there are people out there with out access to the internet? Maybe they are really loyal to their B&M store? Maybe they sell it to those who they are selling RBA/rda's so they at least have something to use?

I hate to sound so critical, but I guess the un-informed is how some of these B&M stores prey upon.

Thank you for the warning. I was a sucker who bought from [edited] when I got my first rebuildable. A few hours later I realized my mistake. Bought it because there was a juice sale there that day and I was taking 15% off my order from them for that, and I figured I'd just toss it in my cart to give it a try. Didn't taste any better then my cotton balls from CVS, plus is saw them at sephora.com shortly after. I wanted to kick myself.

Just for reference, here's 28 Gauge on eBay for $6 w/ Free Shipping direct from Temco. I always buy my Kanthal off eBay and deal with them directly. Normally ships same day and I have it 2-3 days later, even with First Class shipping.

Dang!! I did a search just now to find some more as it's great stuff and everybody is out of it. No wonder the vape shops are selling it for outrageous prices. I backordered some from the Dermstore for $12 a box of 60 pads that MIGHT be delivered in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the warning/advice; I appreciate it.

I honestly don't find $2-$3 a pad that unreasonable. You have to realize that a person is only going to buy single pads if they are just trying it out for the first time, or if they don't want to buy in bulk. That is like complaining that buying 15 gallons of milk from a whole seller is wayyyy cheaper than buying 1/2 gallon at a convenience store. You buy more, or you buy a package and you pay less per unit. That is how the whole world works and I am yet to see differently.

It comes down to whether you feel it is reasonable, and decide to purchase the product or not from there.... I personally would pay for it if I was just trying it out, and I think I paid $1-$2 per pad at my local B&M....no biggie...

There is one site that sells it for .50 cents a pad; avidvaper. com. (Still a big mark up, ends up being closer to 30 a box).

I understand not wanting to buy a whole box just to see if you like it, I was just trying to help.

In the words of the great Emily Latella: Never mind....:)

I know...help is always needed around here. Just giving my :2c: like I usually do around here ;)
