My two have been killer so far. The LCD screens are straight on both. It regulates power well all the way down to shut down. The 510 still looks good I've been watching my wifes because she has her tank off at least three times a day but she's more careful putting it on this time. I replaced the 510 on her Istick for a back up just in case. I don't have small 30w mod to make a fair comparison to. My IPV Mini is going to it's new owner today and it really wouldn't be fair but power regulation is real real close. About the only thing I didn't do yet is build down to the claimed .3 ohm. Never had the need to go below .5. Maybe one day.

I have one with a display that runs slightly uphill, and the other slightly downhill. The paint on both is nice and even, but there is a microscopic black dot in the clear finish on my pink one. I can live with it. Both are working very well, and I also like the larger display. Very happy with mine! :)

Went to chinamart to get a SD card for phone, and a game for son, gave me a promo chair meant to hold a phone. Holds two beYangs very nice.

Be careful plugging in your charger. My micro USB port broke off and was rattling around inside. Discount Vapers refunded my money after I sent it back. I can't say enough good things about their customer service. Eric has always been very prompt with replies to emails and fair. It's not his fault that the Beyang is crappy. Sorry, just my opinion. I have an Istick 50 w out for delivery today to replace this mod.

Already happened to the wife. I'm working a plastic piece to fit inside the mod to help support the charge port and keep it from breaking off of the board. Now mine is having connection issues. The 510 as it turns out is crap. My .6 build reads anywhere from 3.0 down to the .6 that it is. Screw the rta all the way down and it loses it. Unscrew it 3 or 4 turns and it makes contact and the ohms jump around again. Gonna replace the top cap with the other one I have Monday. The 50w istick is on the way just hope this thing lasts a couple of more days. Now I can say that I'm pretty much done with cheap Chinese mods. When the istick 50 dies I'll go back to my IPV's and call it a day. Too much work keeping these cheap things going for me anymore.

As a rule, I'm always VERY careful plugging the chargers into my batts, whether they are Beyang, iStick, IPV, MPV... That seems to be a weak point on many of them.

Sadly I also had to return one of my 2 Beyangs because of the 510 connection. It worked for about a half an hour, then all it did was say "no atomizer". Apparently there was a small wire that had come disconnected. :( I guess it's hit or miss, because my other one has behaved perfectly.

Bamrz,

I was able to straighten my display. I had broken my center wire, too. But when putting it all together, I saw that there is some play in the circuit board. If you open the top and bottom, you should be able to CAREFULLY nudge it till the display is straight.

Even though I'll admit to straightening pictures hanging in other people's houses , the display really doesn't bother me enough to open it up. It's just a smidgen really. :)

Couldn't take the connection issue that I was having anymore. I went to work and swapped top caps. It's still goofy. ohms jumping by .2 and watts along with it. Looks like there's plenty of room for a Fat Daddy 510, better wire and solder work. Looking for my trashed istick so I can get the FDV v4 out and cut down my other top cap. Didn't expect to be digging into this thing so soon oh well........................

I was going to ask if anyone else was having this issue.

The beyonce will bounce the resistance by 0.2 ohms to me, too. And for me, really frustrating, cause I vape at 8.5 or 9 watts. To suddenly have it jump to 17 watts is #^*$^@#%$#@#*

But it only does this on my patriot clone or my kayfun lite clone. My nautiluses (nautili?) are fine, as are other tanks using premade coils. And bot the patriot and the kayfun have slot screwheads as their 510 pin.

So, is it the beyonce? the toppers? the slotted screw?

It ...... me off so much I now have the kayfun on a big 26650 Cronus mech.

Unless Beyang corrects their chip to remember the last watts set instead of reverting to 5 volts, I would not get another product, even a 50 w huge battery mod for $15. Not worth the frustration.

(but beyonce is great with the naughty or a silo lite.)

Exactly what I've been finding. It's flaky with rebuildables. I was at 20w a minute ago on a .7 build for some thin juice that I'm burning up. Put the thing down for a few minutes and when I fired it again it read the build at .9 jumped to 25.5w. So I hit the reset and it still reads my build at .9. I cleaned the 510 real good made sure the screw was all of the way down gently of course and my build is back to reading .7. I thought I was nutty earlier and even watched it read .7 then jump to .9 and set the watts. Tired of the burned hits. The 50w istick will be here Tuesday and this thing is on it's way to the bottom of the box. I'll use it as spares to keep the wifes going she's content with her nauti minis and hers is working well for that. The 50w istick acts up once and it's out the door, I'll go back to my IPV's and never look back.

OK, I think I see something. Beyonce switched ohm readings on an iclear x.i today. But just once. If I had to bet, I'd say it's the beyonce that is at fault. Or more precisely, the Beyonce's slotted 510 pin against the other's 510 pin.

The mini naughty tank has been perfect on it. Never a change. it has a flat pin.

I'll have to watch. Or replace the screw on the Beyonce with something else.

All this that traces back to the poor design of any 510 connection and the lack of standards and dimensions.

Beyang - Beyonce friends...

So, after a while with this device, what do you all think?

I'm frustrated now. My Bey is constantly changing the ohms reading. I try to look before I vape, and I catch it half of the time. But the other times I get a horribly hot hit. It has burned/ruined several coils so far. Charred the cotton in my kayfun, and a couple of aspire bdc coils that once they go burnt, never seem to rid themselves of that flavor.

Use of the adapter has no effect.

The battery isn't as good as my iStick 20w, although the iStick has 3 months more use. The threads are still better than the iStick. And I am getting more scratches/chips from the paint.

I do like the flashlight. I use it to look into the naughty coils to see how dark they are getting, plus finding drip tips and screwdrivers that roll under the sofa.

I'm getting used to mine. :) I'm no longer popping coils, since I now only put Atlantis or Nautilus or RBA's on them. They don't play well at all with Protanks.

Yes, I have to make sure to check what it sets itself to before taking a puff, or risk getting a nasty dratty vape. Mine never changes itself unless I change the atty. I'm rather enjoying them. :)

IMO, they fall somewhere between the iStick 30 and 50. And I still find the flashlight really convenient! :)

Good to hear.

I do like the vape on it. It might be in my head, but it feels smoother than the iStick. But this jumping is upsetting.

I might pop it open and refloat the 2 solder connections on the board from the 2 wires to the 510. Maybe take a good look at the other solder connections, looking for cold joints. This happens in the electrics of my old Volvos...
