I want to preface this with "I'm not affiliated with this company".
Pro's: The Beyang tank's 7ML, build quality, dense cloud production, flavor, can handle 100 watts as rated
Con's: Coils are more difficult to come by, doing top fill ON a mod would be e-juice glass dropper dependent, tight draw (some may like that)
If you look around this tank and five 100 watt coils can be found in the $40-45 + S&H range which in itself is not too bad. Opening the package I was hoping to be surprised by an extra hidden piece of glass (frown face) because that was not the case. I opened the tank and cleaned it thoroughly because it did need it. Everything build wise seemed of good quality and the out of the box impression was "man that tip is small". Coming from a Crown and TFV 4 I guess I have become used to those large open tips and this one is about the same size as a Subtank Nano.
After cleaning the tank I begin to inspect what I figured would be the let down. The word on the web is that this tank can use an Arctic coil, but it does NOT. I included a photo of their coil next to an Arctic and it does not fit. I do want to note the coils have a mesh over the top of them to prevent spit back. A Crown coil could use this feature.
So moving on to the top fill of the tank. You actually press down on the tip and turn its knurls to reveal 2 drip holes (spring loaded) and tight! The concept worked flawlessly. The only problem is you don't have much surface area to steady your glass style droppers over the smallish hole. In practice a Five Pawns dropper (probably best in class) works 100% perfect and so does a unicorn bottle, but a fat dropper from one of my 120ml Casey Jones bottles with high VG left a bit to clean up. That said filling the tank from the top while leaving it on your mod (depending on how messy you are) could leave a little to be desired depending on how you fill. However it does work really well and I have no doubt this will be further optimized and even copied later by one of the big boys.
The last thing I have to say regarding the fill up is that I broke a record on filling the tank with a unicorn bottle. I opened it filled it and closed it in about five seconds.
So 7ML, that is a lot of juice and it does indeed hold just a tad under 7ML and it is shorter than my 5ML Arctic model. Holding that 7ML appear to be very solid glass O rings and I don't suspect any leaking is going to happen and these days that's a win. My TV4 leaks, my Kanger Pro & Subtanks leaked and my Starre Pro, well that's another story. I can say no weirdness going on here. No flooding, no dumping of e-liquid after initial fill and only a little gurgle here and there as it got primed up. I was even smart enough to understand the instructions printed on the top of the tank!
Performance, honestly imagine a Kanger Nano/Mini on steroids. I like my Nano's, they have very good flavor and so do these coil, but not as good as Crown or TFV4. I would say this is actually on par with Kangertech products flavor wise. It is drinking the juice at 85 watts with a warm vape (as expected) and I did indeed test a long draw at 100 watts and did not get a dry hit. For those with lower power mods 50-65 watts gave a cool vape IMO with lots of vapor production. The e-juice consumptions is obviously much better in this range.
The other thing is air flow, well it is tight even with its dual air slots and somewhat noisy as would be expected for the tight air flow. You can absolutely get air moving with some lung power but it is tighter than I am used to. Combine this with the smaller tip and it amplifies mentally what you are doing. I suppose in time we will be mouthing tips the size of a Snapple soft-drink lids but 5 months ago someone probably would not have given a second thought to it's size. The tip does have a hard nylon lining that does seem to keep it from heating up as much as one would think so thought was put into it. Lastly vapor production is VERY good, extremely dense vapor with a higher 80% VG juice. Cloud lovers will have no problem with this tank.
For the price it's a good product only out paced by cutting edge innovation of new models that never seem to end. I would say that in today's market right now the target audience is someone who likes to chase clouds, needs 7ML for long commutes or a longer work day and who has 50-70 watts to spare. So if you use a Subtank Mini, this is an upgrade in my opinion. If you use a Starre this is not an upgrade except for the extra 3ML or so (which is not too shabby).
That's all for now....
Thanks
