So I've been vaping for 4 months and quit cigs that same day. I started on ego battery and kanger mini tank, upgraded to the MEGA tank and Provari and was happy except I kept goin through coils like something crazy. I decided to upgrade to a ehpro kayfun 3.1 and it was great for 3 weeks until the fill screw on the side of the base got stripped. I purchased another one of ebay and went with a no named clone of the Russian 91%. Built a 1.8 coil filled it up and bam, harsh burn taste and leaking out the air hole. Cleaned and dried it then re wicked again and the same Damn thing happened. I'm tired of the this cloned kay(not so)fun pieces of crap. Now I'm back to the kanger mega tank and faulty coils. The funny thing is that I don't remember smoking being this much of a pain in the .... I hate pre-made coils and love rebuilding, I'm just tired of the leaking, whistling and crap performance of these not so kayfuns.
I'm looking for a good tank with zero issues that I can build single coils on.
Is there such a thing?
I will not go to the dripper route because I'm a truck driver who doesn't have time to fiddle with stuff.
I like a all day tank that I can fill and go for 12+ hours.

Dude, I just got an Aspire Atlantis tank today, and I have to say, .... WHOA!

I haven't used any of my tanks except the Aspire Nautalis Mini when I'm in the car, but this thing is awesome and is going to give my RDAs a nice break.

If the Kanger Sub Tank hits like this, I'm going to get one of those too. It might be more up your alley because you can either replace the head/coils, or use the rebuildable deck that comes with it.

Here's the deck from my flash e-vapor which I used with my bigdripper tank.

I'm not a trucker, but I spend a good part of my day on the road. I have a few drippers and tanks, but my favorite tank is my Atlantis. I know you say you are not into prebuilt coils, but I gotta tell you. This one is great. Clouds for days and super easy with absolutely no leaks. I wish the tank was a little bigger. But for a sub ohm device, it's the best. You can use it on any controlled device that can go 30 watts or more. Or you can use it on any mechanical device.

Well, smoking is always going to be easier than vaping because it's simply, light it and smoke.

OTOH, they're not that healthy.

I used to use a Kayfun and after you get to know how to wick them they get much more dependable. I suggest before you cut the Kayfun cord you check out some videos on how to do that :)

These days I use a Reo Grand bottom feeder with a bottom fed RDA. The RM2 RDA is very good with one coil. It's not a cheap system to buy into but it does work very well is dependable as heck and has a 6 ml tank built in. It's also a box mod so it doesn't roll around when you put it down.

If you want more info on it there is a very active sub-forum on ECF that has a lot of friendly people who will help you out.

a good rebuildable tank to look into is the Expromizor by Exvape. its a little more pricey then a kayfun but its worth it.
you build it like a kayfun, but you fill it like a kanger tank. so no fill screw to lose or strip. you can also take it apart and work on your build without having to drain the tank or loose any liquid. adjustable airflow, floating pin. really good tank to look at as an option for what you want

here is Pbusardo's review
Taste Your Juice | THE EXPROMIZER!

ADD: it holds a fair amount of liquid i wanna say 4-5 mls and they make an extension for it that makes it hold i wanna say up to 8 mls

I vape about 6ml a day. All I have is a Provari and the Atlantis won't run on it. I've looked at the kanger sub tank and just don't like the way it looks plus all the work that goes into transforming into a rba. I wouldn't mind the kanger but just doesn't know if it leaks profusely or not. I know how to wick and wickit good to.

My ehpro kayfun light + v2 clone has been great.

Most the time i do 9 wraps currently using 29 gauge on a 2mm bit for 1.5Ω.

Put in the cotton through the coil lift up the wick put on the bottom chimney piece have both wick ends sticking out then trim them where they meet the top of the bottom chimney piece pr sometimes just a smidgen higher then gently push them down until touching the deck then add some liquid then put the rest together then fill it up and away i go.

Thats add some liquid to the wick and a drop on the coil then fill through the bottom fill hole.

If you like building but are having some challenge with the wicking on a Kayfun, allow me to suggest a Lemo. It's got a larger deck and wider channels, and is much more forgiving when it comes to wicking than a Kafun. It also holds more juice. The only issue is it is 23mm so it will overhang a bit on your Provari.

Here the deal on clones you can find some really good one. But know what your buying the manufacture is inportant to know. The problem with the KFL is the vacuum some of the clone do a poor job for give you a good vacuum. So they are out but take some time to get the right one.

Lemo is a great tank what nice about the lemo is it's an authentic for around 35-40 buck don't mess with a clone not worth it IMHO. Lemo drop if your looking for something a bit on the smaller size.

Both the subtank and Atlantis are both nice clearo. Saw a trucker post today. That he is running 2 Atlantis tanks and that the 2 are lasting him a full days run. The atlantis take a bit more watts too run 35-40watts, Where the Subtank take less 20-25W. May want to keep that in mind depending on what mod your running. May want to take a look at the KF V4 that just coming out, The clone are so new we have not hear much about them. Watch the RTA section of the forum here sure something about them will be posted soon.

You maybe want too dial down your watts just a touch and you can clean your coil heads in alcohol like once a week and keep a few in rotation. You may get a little bit more life out of your head that way.

good luck and Vape on !
