Not an Entry
I usually build it at about 1.8Ω with cotton, ecowool or SS mesh...whatever I feel like that day. The cotton works very well but I hate the re-wicking to change flavors or dry burn. The 1.1Ω with 24 ga was an experiment to try out on my iStick, see what it's capable of doing.
Hey Stosh,
I just looked back for this to see if you replied.
I don't change flavors much, but adding the extra length of cotton inside the tank (about 2x what I need) helps a lot. Of course, a dry burn is going to make pulling it up impossible, but if you catch it before it burns, like when it's getting dark and you might otherwise rewick, pulling up the used part and cutting it off is just like a new wick - at least for me.
It also helps that I have the older AGA-T2s with 4 holes in the deck. I stripped the insulation off of some solid 20g electrical wire and made some tools that I can get inside of the tank with. Some are more straight, and some are bent to get around the plus post column inside. I can use these tools to guide the cotton where I need it to be.
Sorry it's such a large image, but this is the version I have . . .
