I bought a Kanger Subtank Mini, and have been vaping with it for about 10 days. Right now I'm using the occ coils, and am blown away. I know you'll like the Nano. I'm thinking about getting one as a second tank since I don't really need the RDA deck on two tanks. Which MOD matches up with the Nano's size the best?

I have 3 of the regular subtanks and love them, so I wanted the nano because as much as I love the 6ml tanks, sometimes I just don't want to vape that much before switching flavors..lol. I have the Istick 50watt that I'm going to put the Nano on. I think it would go nicely on any of the box mods.

I started steeping some juices that didn't taste too good. If I am correct, you loosen the caps to steep the juice. Where do you do that? My room smells like tobacco...does everyone have a secret room...lol?

Open up the cap and let it sit in a dry cupboard or drawer for breathing 24-48 hours (this would help to get the alcohol out) <-- this is called breathing or airing
And then, just leave it alone with cap for steeping (usually couple days to 1 week worked for me).

Blue blazes cold here with -30 and below wind chill.

When I steep, I tend to not do it with the cap off. I tend to shake it real well, remove cap for perhaps an hour then re-cap and shake again, then remove the cap just for a second to get fresh air in after the last shake. Then they get shaken daily until I am ready to check them again. I also have an untrasonic jewelry cleaner that I will put capped bottles in and let them shake until I remember to turn it off for a bit.

When I first started vaping, it was the nasty smell of so called tobacco juices that turned me against any juice that said tobacco as I figured they had that nasty nutty smell to them. I have since found out that I was wrong on that and seem to be finding out on a regular basis these days just how wrong I was. Tried an RY4 when I first quit smoking and not only did it have that funky smell, it was like a mix of cig ashes and caramel ice cream topping... a nice lady sent me some flavorings and one was an RY4D... told her of my concerns and she said make a small batch and let it steep a month... it never did have that nasty smell to it... a month later. my little 5 ml test batch is really nice, a bit sweet but something I really enjoy with coffee after dinner.

I am vaping Banana Split this morning. One that I have let steep a week and one that has really changed in that time... still need to up the flavor percentage the next batch.

Congrats on four months Robin, I think you are over the hump!

I don't leave my caps off either. I do pretty much what Joan does. I take the cap off, and if it's a plastic bottle, I squeeze it to let old air out and new air in. Then I recap and shake, then let the old air out and new air in again. I do that every day until it seems ready.

If I left the caps loose, I know I'd upset the bottle somehow!

Lots of snow piling up outside, so I'm just sitting here vaping and visiting all my friends on ECF. :)

I got some of my ordered Vapemail yesterday....Some of the tracking shows that it might be getting stuck in the "Texas black hole"...I hate that hole...I don't know when it might get here.....another order was just shipped out yesterday so I am not sure when it will be here yet...but I have something to look forward to....
Congrats RR...happy quitaversary......
I find I don't have to steep most of the juices I order....they are good out of the box...

I agree with the others who steep with the cap on. The Pros say, for the best results, shake vigorously, breathe momentarily with the cap off, recap and shake again, store, and repeat a few times for a day or two, then store it for a week or so. The little air bubbles do the work for you, so shake it vigorously. Leaving the cap off for a day or two will reduce the nicotine mg strength. It should also be kept in a cool, dark place... at all times, really. Heat will also reduce the nicotine mg strength. You never want Sunlight to hit the juice. Both the Sun's heat and light rays can damage the juice. Amber glass bottles block damaging light rays, and Cobalt blue is even better at blocking damaging light.

Do I follow all of that steeping procedure all the time? Generally, No, but I DIY with noncomplex mixes. Most of my juices can be used quickly. However, I have found that steeping does help develop flavor, and subtle nuances. For example, a Banana Cream may taste like mostly (or only) Banana at first, but after steeping, the Cream flavor will develop. When a juice isn't good enough to vape, then I steep it. But I do use Amber and Cobalt glass bottles with glass droppers, and my tanks are always Pyrex. I have found that plastics (tanks and/or bottles) effect the taste of any juice.
