If you remember, I offered to be included in that test...

At full strength. ;)

And I followed the results in the big nic thread.

I was wondering what USMC had compared to to claim "quite good" and "not peppery".

With no answer, I'd have to assume nothing.

Which leaves no basis of comparison.

Which would be meaningless.

If one were to say x nic was pink and fishy or tasted like kerosene, etc. and y nic was clean and clear with no scent and some th, there's something.

"Grog say taste good"... not helpful.

When I tested WL mixed @ 6mg vs VT @ 36 - 50mg and WL still had more th, kero flavor and pepper, I have to assume results like yours point to a vast change in something.

I forget the name, but I suspect my batch was sourced from the one place Kurt said tested clean but had a pink hue and lots of "flavor" (pepper, etc.) that a bunch of vendors got ahold of.
One thing I think we lose sight of is that different batches of nic from the same vendor can vary.

I may have gotten a really good batch of WL back in April of 2014, and a mediocre batch of VT in June of 2015.

I would have included the WL in that comparison if I had remembered that I had it. Well, that and I was in FL when I was organizing the whole thing, and the WL was in my freezer in PA.

Yup.

Kinda makes me peeved I got the batch I did from WL.

Their pricing and shipping packaging couldn't be beat at the time.

And with all the rave of the ice I just missed, I was bitterly disappointed.

Also one reason.why I ask what else a person has tried.

Seems like a crap shoot at times.

Though it also seems some vendors are more consistent than others ... even when their sources are suspected to be the same. (Damn I wish I could remember that name)

Ah, well... the wife and dad vaped lower nic with more flavor and didn't mind the WL until it was gone.

I couldn't take it. Either they were going to use it or it was getting flushed.

I'm mostly just happy it wasn't a complete waste of money... and probably way too curious when it comes up in topic.

Yeah, that reminds me. Today is December 13th. Exactly 3 years since I started vaping. :D

I started at 18 with occasional blasts of 24. It took me 5 days to stop smoking. A few weeks later, I tried cutting down to 12. Didn't work. Not satisfying. Mixed 12 and 18 to get 15. Been there ever since.

Well, until my last batch of base. I mixed that one at 14.

Happy 3 year Vaperversary! :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

What he said^^^^^^^^^^^^ :toast:

Congrats, buddy! :)

You too, Beck! :toast:

I guess it's been a little over three years for me too, eh?

Day after Halloween 2013 first vape and last time I rolled a cigarette. Never any intention to quit, so still haven't, vaping satisfies for now.

I only did it to lower a heart risk score before I deployed the following Jan. Recall the date because I was at a Halloween party and someone gave me his old gear (some eGo batteries and Kanger tanks).

Compared to?

Well, I won a gift certificate to WL (it's how I was able to get into DIY), so it's really my first nic base, so my comparison is to whatever the local shops were using....the workers either play dumb, or don't know what brands were being used, cause I never got a straight answer from any of them on what brand nic they use.

Oh, my late answer is due to a busy work schedule, not from a desire to not answer ;)

I was doing yet another night shoot.....all night. This time for the final episode of Bones (final as in series, not season).

Any ways, back to the nic....I don't have any brand to brand comparison tests, but I've tasted the pepper, specifically from one particular local shop. I don't get it from my WL (first of two 500 ml bottles) at anywhere from 3 to 12 mg strength

I cut down on nic at one point. Bought into the trend.

I didn't really have strong cravings. But was incredibly cranky.

So I abandoned that idea.

WTA is the bomb. I rarely use snus now, not that I shouldn't, but nice to be mostly free of it

Around 9mg of WTA added to nice strong nic is good.

I kept snusing for ages. There was an early vaping forum myth that was well supported that said vaping over 48mg would land you in hospital. It is a really random figure and I have NFI how that idea circulated. It just meant some of us dual used until we met brave souls like beck who disproved the theory.

It wasn't bravery.

It was pure desperation.

You just have to trust your body.

I was told I was going to kill myself with 36 milligrams at 10 watts. o_O

Plenty more vaping myths to dispel.

For example I want to know if Lithium Polymer batteries are so dangerous how the hell do people put Bluetooth headsets in their ears.

Exactly what batteries do they think can perform that well and fit in such a small form factor?

And how cheap tiny and delicate do they think the circuits attached to those batteries are?

Since signing up to this site I've always maintained that what makes a battery dangerous isn't its chemistry but how its abused.

Thank you sir.

That's stifling.

Turn on the AC before you suffer from heat exhaustion.

Lol. It has been in the 90s a few days. So brr

Hopefully helps with the wild fires though.
