You guys are the best. Here I am, trying to be a smart ... (frisky Friday, and work is slow!), thinking I'd get flamed for wanting to paint a CC, and you guys just try to be helpful.

I have NO intention of doing such a thing. Although I am leaning towards the idea of brass to let it patina.

I'll stop trying to cause trouble now. I'll leave that up to Bob!

Keep us posted, I think they would both scratch, that is what the pads are for. They work great.

I can attest to that!! The Bear Tex pad worked great KK!!!
I had a few surface scratches on my CC so when I got your care package I immediately tried out Russ's method. Laid the pad out on the table and made same number of 6 passes on all sides with equal pressure. Came out beautiful! Looks brand new, light scratches disappeared! I was so easy!

no reason to do that. the metal wont hold on to the smell. you can wash it in a sink like a dish. thats what i do with my tmods
