Thank you - and congratulations to you too! I smoked every single day for over 40 years - even in hospital (in my day, the maternity room had a smoking room across the corridor; hard to believe now!). I never intended to stop smoking - it just happened.

I got to my 60s and assumed I would die with a rollie in my hand (and possibly chewing on nicorette gum at the same time). Then I decided to see if vaping would help me cut down a little. You can't buy liquids with nicotine in Australia, so I had to wait for it to arrive from the US. Once I had the nicotine, I mixed up some liquid and thought I would give it a go (ego-c with stardust clearomiser). I simply never smoked again. I still have the half-used pouch of tobacco in the back of a cupboard; I might throw it out as part of the three-year celebration :)
Man, that is a killer story and thank you for sharing it. I'm straight up proud of you man. That is an enormous accomplishment. I only smoked for maybe 9 or 10 years, and can't imagine how much more difficult it might have been after 40. So, wow - much respect to you, so much.

I have a highly addictive personality and have been addicted to many things I hate to say - and I'm happy to say my only addictions today are very few and IMO not a big deal a'tall, namely vaping and caffeine. And I do say I'm addicted to vaping - it's an addiction that digs deeper than "smoke" or "vapor" - or even nicotine, for that matter - it's the whole hand to mouth motion, and the "act" of smoking. My nicotine consumption is low these days, and could be lower if I actually cared, or thought it was a very bad thing. But, I don't. I love it :cool:

Here's to our health, our happiness, our good decisions and accomplishments (all of us, one big family!) :toast:

The thing is, it doesn't really feel like an accomplishment. It just happened. With no effort at all on my part. I was absolutely shocked when I realised I hadn't had a cigarette for three hours!

I think that's because my addiction is to the hand-mouth action (I was, and to some extent still am, a nail biter). I still use nicotine (generally 3mg/ml), but I'm sure it's more of a security blanket than a real addiction.

Maybe the fact that I never set out to quite also helped. In the past, I would break out in a cold sweat if I even thought about quitting.

This coming week, I'll be doing a Brassy, a Copper Mod, and the first SS Mod. :)

Once I get this first one under my belt, we'll have a much better Idea of how many SS mods I can do in a week. I'm bettin' on 2... we'll just have to wait an' see..... :thumb:

I know Beck and btobw have expressed interest in stainless steel. Anyone else? :?:
Bad timing, brother, sorry. Just bought a house and a gaggle of pd mods. The bank is gasping for air.

In due time, though. It will be mine, oh yes...

Anyways, least I could do is contribute.

That's what it's all about for me. I was sure I would die a smoker, the first draw on an ecig convinced me that it didn't have to be so. It's become an enjoyable hobby now as well, one through which I've met many awesome people, but the main thing is I'm not smoking (and also not too miserable to be around in the process) :)

That's awesome, B! :)

And, Mr Beck,

I knew you had just acquired those two gorgeous mods. :D

I assumed the timing may be bad, but I set one aside for you, just in case. No worries though. You just let me know when you're ready, and I'll whoop you up another one. :thumb:

Gorgeous collection, my friend! :drool:

So,...I guess that means that we have one of these up for grabs, then. :w00t:

@B2L

Thanks my man.
Though, I can't take credit for the pic. It was time for an upgrade. Held out with the Samsung S4 for 2 years. Just picked up the S7 today. It takes great pics.

And for the record, many people have met one great guy as well.

@custom-classic

Thank you too, sir.
I will most definitely be on that when finances break. Though with wifeys philosophy and my nature plus new house... it might be a while... or a month... who knows.

Man... I'm ecstatic... and full of sorrow simultaneously.

Timing just was this side of perfect juuust enough. What with being on pd's list for a year or two and all. Wasn't going to let that slip.

Not knowing when my next 2 numbers are coming up... and having already invested a couple / few hundred into wifeys gdibi... really makes things that much tighter.

In the interest of full disclosure and all.
