So according to my credit card statement, I believe I just purchased a second hand Brass CC mod. Don't know much about them yet lol but I'm super stoked to try it! I think I have some reading to catch up on here in this thread. Hopefully I made a good choice :)
Very good choice, and THANK YOU for saving me from buying it!
If you're into metal mech squonkers, this is the best one. And if you're not, you'll still have something to vape on when the Vapocolypse actually hits, and far, far beyond. Really no way this thing can ever stop working.
With our current situation the way it is, those of us in this thread are extremely lucky.
Anyway, not trying to get all doomsday on y'all...
Welcome to the best little vaping community @Chinner!

Aww man, you shouldn't have done that... You'll definitely regret that decision...

Should've picked up 2 or even 3. After all, why do you think God gave you two hands? Simple symmetry? Nah, it's so you can hold 2 CC's of course! Go ahead, drop Corey an email, he'll fix ya right up! :D

Haha thanks all for the warm welcome! It was a total impulse buy for sure but the more I learn the more stoked I'm getting. Looks like a beast of a bottom feeder, can't wait to see it.

Stupid question, are there different versions of these? Like have the internals been upgraded etc? I was reading about silver contacts somewhere if I'm not mistaken. Is there any serial number or marking in these mods to know when it was made or anything? Or any spare anythings I will need?

Thanks for the help :)

You're welcome glad I could help by buying it first. :)

For the record I came very very close to buying your woodvil on many many occasions lmao. Gl with your sale :)

No SN's although Corey can apparently identify each one by sight. Silver negative contacts can be installed pretty easily as shown by several here (or Corey has said to send it in if need be). All positive contacts are already solid silver (not that cheap plated stuff!). Otherwise I think the only differences will be the size/shape of the squonk hole. This family here is really awesome, the best around!

Great info thanks a bunch. I'm assuming the silver negative contact is a non essential upgrade for the extreme sub ohm crowd? I'll probably be perfectly fine with whatever came with it anyway so I'm not going to stress. Nothing left to do but wait for the mailman. :)

It is not an essential upgrade :)

It's something Corey offered for us weird folks in search of perfect conductivity and zero voltage drop (not a real thing but we can try, right?) It's certainly not essential and likely overkill for even extreme sub ohmers. The CC is near perfect without it.

Yoooo guise.......

:D

It's true,....the silver negative is not necessary, at all. Just icing on the cake. :)

I still haven't upgraded my own 2 mods...

The brass negative contacts work great. One of my mods is sportin' a .25ohm build, the other is around .35ish.... No worries. :thumb:

Slowly but surely........
