Well I may be wrong. I just went through our PMs and he talked about doing it. Not sure if he ever did. The big plus for the brushed, IMHO, is that any scratch can be easily removed with a scotch brite pad.

i think it depends on how one intends to use the mod. I have a tmod with a bead blasted finish and it hardly ever gets cleaned, true to my long-standing beliefs about mod cleaning!

HRH has a CC mod and loves the brushed finish because it's a lot easier to clean and polish back to its original condition, something she does at least weekly.

I'm hard on my mods and she takes very good care of hers; moreover, i'm reluctant to discourage her from polishing and cleaning things in any way!

T
You both raise good points!! I really like the look of the brushed finish. Mine had started to show some fine scratches but one of the extra fine scotchbrite pads made it look just like new! :thumb:
I too have a bead blasted Tmod and like ST use it very hard with little maintenance and it looks about as good as it did when I got it.
Just don't think the "minor" imperfections show up as much with the blasted finish butttttt those imperfections are easily eliminated with the brushed finish. ;)

And here are some for you to look at Russ...

Now that I look at that atty I was at one time interested in it but Tom the fish man told me I wouldn't like it cause it's too tall for me I believe. He knows what I like now better than I do. He's always right too. After scrubbing the kids vid just now I can confirm that. I had a marquis from Tom that I didn't like cause of the height and such deep juice wells. It was also a weird build for my tastes - much more vert coil friendly and homie doan play verts (ATM anyway). Thanks for the links brother :)

I never went by someone else's review on this or that atty, more so the design and aerodynamics of it, and for $175 there's just not anything there I haven't seen before on $60 atties,

So, I'm out

The Velocity is only 115 bucks.

I liked mine so much, that I bought a second one 2 days later.

Truly a work of engineering genius.

À chacun son goût. (To each his own) For instance, I'm the only one that I know of sporting 9$ modified and pickled Triangles (AKA RM2 if they had come from Rob) on a Pinch, Dibi, Peko's, GDibi, GDNA's, and most likely a CC when my turn comes. Just haven't found an Atty that satisfies me like they do.

The Velocity is just too big for me, I didn't like tube mods and tanks for that same 'phallic' presentation,
if it's bigger then a Nuppin in diameter, it better have 'special pleasure' attachments, or I pass
It does...

They are called flavor and adjustability!

I was going to but figured it was nicer to make sure Rudy got what he was looking for rather than my pink zebra.

Brb. Incoming pm from dready. Hint, hint.

ETA; I should be getting a clear wrap for myself. Though I've requested they don't apply it so I can send it to the spa.

Tapatyped

A clear wrap, sized for your bare metal mod, is not going to fit after patina. You would have a 2-4mm gap due to the layering of the patina and clear coat. I would not recommend you skip the clear coat. First time you went to change out the wrap, you could lift some ink. Mark can give you more detail on this and probably explain it a lot better than I have.
