so you are running basic contact macro coils then?
I have dual 28 gauge, 7 wrap, 2.8mm diameter, 0.7 ohms in a Derringer on a brass CC for a tobacco. Any other flavors I go 0.9 ohms which is 9 wraps.
While you wait for your brass CC to arrive, USMCotaku, I would like to suggest you purchase a can of Brasso to keep it looking new.
currently like to run larger builds like claptons, that tend to have too slow of a ramp up on a mech.UC, What is your preference of build now?
Hahaha [emoji12]I have used MUCH brass polish in my time![]()

big metal builds require big wattage to be worth it2 to 3 mm twisted 28's or 2 to 2.5 mm 4/3 wrap 32 over 28g Clapton's should have you rocking the Derringer for sure. 0.3 - 0.4 ohms does the trick for me. IMHO at higher ohms ( anything over .5 -.6 ) Claptons are never a good idea unless you are running big power...![]()
I have a simple 26gauge kanthal, 7 wrap around a 3/32 at 0.4ohms. Although I've been using 8'wraps for my cc just cos it hits so damn hard
Once in a while I drop an 8wraps n80 build tho.
