Sorry I haven't been around much today.
It seems like I've been goin' 100 mph since I woke up at 5am... And, of course,...NOW it's time to actually get to work!!! :)

@inga ,....parts? No problem! Ross and DB are correct, as usual, tho. I'll get with you to finalize a parts list, in the very near future. :thumb:

@Rossum ,...Holy crap! That positive contact is beautiful! Very nice! :thumb:

Your collection is stunning. I'm jealous. (<<<messed up, ain't it?....) ;)

I'm anxious to hear how the negative contact installation goes. I have NO doubt that it'll be mind numbingly simple, for a man of your mechanical abilities. :thumb:

Quaternary Club, indeed!!!

@Splatnext ,...Gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous!!! :thumbs:

@ScandaLeX ,....Glad to see you here! :D What took you so long??? o_O

:D

Hey, Peter! Good to see you, too!

Hello friends,

A few weeks ago I was cruising the usual squonking FB groups and I stumbled into a beautiful mech that immediately caught my attention. So I started researching and ended here.

Have been reading ever since these pages (not all of them! But around 250) and talking to people who have, or had one in the past.

Meanwhile I have contacted Corey, who is just a wonderful and very patient man, and have been exchanging a “few” emails with him.

I´m more than ready, and excited, for my shortcoming CC mod. The only doubt that remains is that I haven´t decided yet if going for the 7068 or the copper.

Since I will be using the CC mostly at home, I don´t see the weight being a problem. As I´m a little lazy, I admit, that beautiful platina that the copper develops feels like a very handy bonus to me! Therefore, at this moment I´m more inclined to the copper one, but still have a couple of days until I must make up my mind.

Wanted to thanks also all those who had the patience and kindness to answer me, by pm or email, and after so much reading it almost seems that I got to know a few of you, despite being the first time that I brake my silence in this thread!

I´m really looking forward to be part of the family and would like to thanks especially Corey, but also everyone else, who have been posting for the last year those beautiful pictures that not only draw my attention but gave me the impulse to finally go for one. Like it is said, a picture is worth a thousand words… sometimes it is really true!

Thank you and Cheers.

For at-home use, copper rocks!

@Rossum, did you use the BearTex Ultra fine pads on your copper CC? I'm thinking when I want to clean mine I may try a light sulfamic acid solution... we use it at work and it's pretty gentle. Maybe rub it on with a soft cloth? We'll see and I'll report back later but I don't know when I may do it since I actually really dig the patina.
