Could have been worse if she decided to swallow it.Well my CC got its first bit of "character". Was adjusting the 510 and the button fell out on the ground and my 4mo old puppy decided to "help" by running off with it in her mouth. Not too much worse for the wear, but noticeable. Ah well.

Yeah, I've found with a single 18650 mechanical 2.5mm is my max ID. Anything larger and I don't like the ramp up time.
What kind of wire are you using? I had the same issue with kanthal but not with N80 or SS. My typical build is 6 wraps of 24 gauge around a 3mm ID. Ramp up/cool down is much quicker. Haven't tried SS claptons, I need to order some higher gauge and give it a shot.
It's been forever since I experimented with different coils, and such... It's been 26g NiChrome, 2mm ID, 6 or 7 wrap duals, for the longest... I need to change it up a bit. Runnin' 90/10 vg/pg unflavored, my rayon tends to not wanna keep up. I'll try 2.5mm ID, and see what's what. But, what wire? How many wraps???

It is my strong desire that once folks install these new silver contacts in their mod, that they end up flush.
A lead thread chamfer guaranties a ring around the hole, on the bottom of the mod.

Just giving you a Hard Time. You do some Very Nice Work. And the Level of Detail and Craftsmanship is evident.
The last thing i need is 'physics lesson Smurf', that has a ground down screw in the backside of the mod with super conductivity and foreign language skills.

Give stainless steel a try, Sloth. That's all I use now.. 316l cleaner flavor.. and faster ramp up time.
