I find no-ox-id a far better solution. It's more substantial, and stays there longer.
With deoxit gold (a very good product), I find that I have to reapply a fresh coat very often

Again - YMMV. I gagged hitting MFS unflavored. Never again
ETA peppery may be the wrong word...but MFS nic does have a cigarette-ish taste. That's why my good friend SuperX loves the stuff. I prefer true unflavored myself.

That's gonna require some scotch brite, or fine sandpaper, followed by deoxit, no-ox-id, or similar. That kind of buildup will absolutely stop, or seriously slow, the flow of electrons. Alcohol alone will not remove that.
Hmm, after next week, all I would need to achieve a perfect score is one of the 6061s that will be available soon...
I was thinking too; I know I'm getting a brass CC, just a matter of when. At that point, my OCD tells me I have to get a 6061 and I'm set!
I haven't tried other brands but I have been eyeballing the Nude Armor V2 aliquots. I can agree with Sloth, maybe peppery isn't quite right, but close...or maybe like the burn from a shot of a high proof alcohol (as far as the back of the throat goes). Doesn't linger too long. I usually only get "unflavored" hits, but do kind of like it when I get that cigarette-ish hit. Only seem to notice it once in awhile though...
