Will the new adjusting screw fit our existing CC 510 without having to replace everything else?

In yours,....yes, it will work. :thumb:

You are correct,...in some of the earlier mods, I used a longer screw... The standard 3/4" screw it a little too short to use the thumb nut, without making it thinner. Taking some thickness off the thumb nut, that is...

The price will be $25 for the new 510 assembly. ($35 if I install it for you.) That includes the Stainless housing, white Delrin insulator, feed screw (pin), thumb nut, and o-rings... You have the choice of Stainless or Naval Brass, for the pin. :)

Price difference? :?:

Yes... It's all relative to material price, tool wear, and more importantly,...labor... Stainless, for example, takes a whole heckuva lot more hours than say,...6061 aluminum. And,...SS is a heckuva lot harder on tooling...

I'll be doing the 6061's for $350. That's a base price, with brass negative contact and old 510 setup. To upgrade it to the new 510, and silver negative, it'll increase the price a little, but not as much as buyin' 'em separate... $10 increase for the new 510, and $10 for the silver negative. The $350 for the base model, is just an effort to make 'em a little more affordable, for those who might appreciate such a thing... ;) (by the way,...my 6061 still has the brass negative, and the old 510 setup, and I absolutely love it... :))

As far as the brass, copper, 7075, and 7068, they have always been $450. When I started making, and adding the new sterling silver negatives to new mods, I just ate the extra expense, and labor. Not the best business decision I've ever made,..... but nonetheless, it was in an effort to make a better product, and I hate charging more for stuff...

The SSCC's are $500. The $50 increase does not TRULY reflect the extra labor, tool wear, and general pita......but that's a whole 'nother story....

Dang,.......I really hate bean countin'...... :(

Now that we got that mess outta the way............

I got some pichers to post........

BRB...... :D

Why am I having a hard time installing these beautiful positive contacts on my old Reos...... I've been staring at them thinking I'd be like putting perfume on a pig (no disrespect... my reos are my beaters) .... Maybe I should buy a new Reo?! I didn't think they'd be this nice!

Thanks, buddy! :D

Remember what Beck said about opening up the black delrin piece a little, so that the big ol' head on that contact will fit through there. ;)

Yes. Hubs once took my new TRA Reo Mini the day I polished it. Now the deal is 2 of everything. That way, if he doesn't like it - I win - again. I'm a quick learner. Took longer to wear him down this time - new tactics had to be employed. Overtime and traveling. He lasted 11 days at home by himself then said enough...just get on the list. :D

Say Corey, how difficult would it be, to change out the current 510 assembly into the new tool-less one? Bearing in mind that some people (ahemMEahem) can be quite clumsy and bad with tools.

Specifically, I'm unsure how the actual 510 and that notched brass ring is removed/secured
