pitchurs?

If you like your cold weather, you can keep your cold weather.
But my wife and I are thrilled to be back in sunny Florida.![]()
Not as quiet as I'd like. Still considerable contractor activity, both at our place, and my neighbor across the street is getting a new roof. View from my front door earlier today:How's the homestead?
we call 'em "dust devils"....and have had some so large people thought they were tornadoesno tornados here
but i saw a willy-willy/eddie today
walk through one of those and you'll be picking dust and sand out of yur eyes for hours
it was a close one
Believe me when I say, if you lived through 2 of them within a 2yrs span, there is certainly no mistaking one for what it is... If you lived through 1, there would be no mistake!! I can personally say its nothing remotely close to a "Dust Devil" though!!we call 'em "dust devils"....and have had some so large people thought they were tornadoes![]()

we had a dust devil here one year that caused some pretty heavy damage...difference is they tend to dissipate much faster, so they don't leave such a long trail of destruction.Believe me when I say, if you lived through 2 of them within a 2yrs span, there is certainly no mistaking one for what it is... So basically you are asking why anyone chose or chooses to build in the entire central planes of the United States? That sounds like something someone from California would ask!! What gets me is why anyone in their right mind would want to build a home on a cliff overlooking the ocean or the valley, or in the middle of the forest? That is mind boggling!! Then you see them on the 6 o-clock news crying their house fell off the cliff during an earthquake, mudslide, fire, or any combination of all of them!!we had a dust devil here one year that caused some pretty heavy damage...difference is they tend to dissipate much faster, so they don't leave such a long trail of destruction.
What gets me, are the people who build in known tornado pathsJust....why?
Says 4/9/2005 on the pic.So this was taken by somebody today at Mammoth (a California ski resort area)
