So... Today I was detailing a car for a customer. I was shampooing the floor matts on a table, finished and layed my mod down nice and gently. I just purchased this setup, vape rev nemesis with a kayfun 3.1, about 30 mins later I start to clean up my mess and wrap all the hoses and what not back up. I'm all cleaned up and ready to leave when I realize... Where the hecks my mod?.... Low and behold it's fallen off the table and rolled on the asphalt. I guess when I was wrapping up the hoses I knocked my mod off the darn table!!!
ofcourse I gasp and run to see the damage... At first glance I wanted to cry!!! My kayfun was all crooked and I had some not so attractive scuffs! I managed to get the kayfun all straightened out... No big deal. In a panic I decided it was a good idea to use a deburr style wheel to try and smooth out some of those scuffs.( knowing very well that the wheel on the buffer was far to aggressive) and actually just managed scratching the heck out of the whole thing.
I end up taking it to a buddy's house with the proper buffing wheels and polishes... Kayfun looks brand new again, but the nemesis is going to take some professional touches... I plan on calling around tomorrow to have a professional buffing/polishing shop fix her all up for me, some of the scratches from the wheel i first used are far to close to the logo and serial number for me to feel comfortable doing myself!
long story short, I made a bad situation worse!
Confident someone can make her all pretty again... But right now I'm a pretty bummed vapor!
thought I would share my little fiasco with ya guys.
