Big Spirit from www.naturally-extracted-tobacco.com

The juice: Big Spirit was bottled on 8/15, 15mg nic, 70% pg, heat extracted option. A cigarette style NET made from American Spirit tobacco. Described on site as " A classic, all-natural, no-additive cigarette-style tobacco was used to make this e-liquid. It is medium-bodied for a cigarette, dry and as close to smoking one as we have ever tried since we took up vaping! It has subtle black tea-like notes on a backdrop of cigarette tobacco.. Try it and see for yourself!"

The Hardware: cotton wicked micro coil, small rebuildable dripper; vaped on a VAMO mod from 9 to 11 watts.

Ratings are from 1-5 depending on where a juice falls in an attributes spectrum. Only the last rating, "overall", is based on 5 being the best. (For sweetness 1 equals very dry and 5 equals very sweet. For tobacco impact 1 equals very mild tobacco and 5 equals very aggressive and/or complex.)

Sweetness: 1.5 Very dry, with just a hint of tobacco sweetness. No more sweetness than smoking a cigarette. Fans of sweet NET need not apply.

Tobacco Impact: 4.5. Not aggressive nor very complex, so why such a high score? Just, just, JUST tobacco is to be found here. This is the most pure and authentic cigarette tobacco taste I've experienced in a vape. I don't know the type of tobaccos used with American Spirit, but I'd guess this is mainly Virginia with maybe some Burley. Leafy, smoky, just plain tobacco-y. Former cig smokers, you know what this tastes like, just remove the burning paper and additional additives of most commercial cigarettes. Despite the high impact score, this isn't just for fans of aggressive tobacco vapes. This is straight up, full flavored cigarette; a solid medium tobacco vape.

Vapability: 4.5. Solid and reliable, and always scratches the tobacco itch. It's a great backround vape, and can be enjoyed for hours while doing other things. The lack of complexity doesn't make it ideal when actively tasting, but it is still interesting enough to work like that for a bit.

Mainly though, it's such a spot on cigarette vape that it works like cigs did, anytime. Remember those times a cigarette tasted the best; first thing in the morning, after a meal, after, ahem, marital relations? Yep, perfect time to load up some Big Spirit.

Flavor Accuracy: 5. Have I mentioned how well this nails the cigarette experience yet?

Overall: 5. Big Spirit is a big win. This is the most successful "analog replacement" that I've found in retail juice, my favorite cigarette style NET. Many vapers have lost any interest in an analog replacement, and consider cigarettes gross now. That's common and normal, but it's not everyone, and it's not me. Big Spirit lacks that certain down and dirty feel of a smoking, burning, tar ridden paper tube filled with tobacco, but that part is not missed and everything else about the experience is spot on.
