Biggest let-down? Biggest pleasant surprise?

I'm curious! What is the biggest liquid let-down you've had? And by that I mean, what is the liquid that you were really looking forward to getting, but it completely sucked?

On the other hand, what has been the biggest pleasant surprise? Maybe there was a liquid that you got as a sample, or tried it in a small bottle not expecting much and LOVED it?

My worst would have to be "PinkSpot" by PinkSpot. I thought it would be great, and I just couldn't do it. It was not what I wanted at all. I ended up giving it away, and the other person loves it, so it wasn't a loss. It just wasn't for me.

My best would have to be Wild Skittlez by Sweet-Vapes. I bought a small bottle on a whim, and I love it! It tastes just like popping a mouthful of the purple bag of Skittles in my mouth...so good!

My biggest let down would have to be Halo's Twisted Java. It sounded SO GOOD. It was so completely and utterly unvapable.

I think my biggest happy surprise was MBV's Creme de Menthe. I thought I'd like it, but I ordered it for my fiance since he's all about the minty flavors. And I filled a carto with it. And then I stole the bottle. I still can't believe how quickly I'm going through it. I just wish it wasn't a tank-cracker.

I hate that. My favorite flavor, Cheshire, cracks tanks. It's such a good flavor though.

A lot of ecblends flavors have surprised me. Most of them have been pretty spot on with the taste too. I received a sample of vanilla gorilla, and loved it.

I'm the same with coconuts. I even had one that I let seep, and I tried it again. The taste was so overwhelmingly sweet and artificial that it made me gag. I'm too scared to try any lately, and I hate that. I've looked at MudSlide, and it looks so good. I think you just convinced me to try it!

I actually added sweetener to MBV's coconut. It was closer to "natural" coconut than "candy" coconut.

Eeeeee, hope you like the MudSlide, I know everyone's taste is so different! I did have to let it steep a really long time first - at least a month I think for all those flavors to properly mix.
Now I want a Fangelico

Shortly after my 'vape' beginning, that's what I experienced. After a few Blu disposables I purchased a Halo G6 kit with Turkish Tobacco (which I still find fantastic) prefilled cartos.
I saw the Café Mocha and Twisted Java and being a coffee lover was soooo looking forward to these. I eventually got the Halo Gourmet sample pack which had those 'coffee' vapes.
Both have utterly yucky coffee bases. Blech!!!
Twisted Java: minty heavily cooked popcorn taste.
Café Mocha: Buttered Popcorn with hazelnut and a maybe a hint of cocoa. Definitely NOT something like Starbucks Café Mocha!

Hmmmm....biggest pleasant surprise.. Probably Cardinal Cinn by Hoosier Vapes. It has a strong in your face organic cinnamon candy taste and as the voltage is cranked up it tastes more and more like Red Hots!! Very enjoyable in small sessions!

Just got a 10 bottle vapemail from them today!! A day early! Really can't wait to try the Raspberry Cheesecake! I bought a bunch of Dragon's Milk! I love it by itself, but it helps make something I created myself vapeable! I totally messed up using their wizard!

Me too! I made one that's strawberry, mango, pineapple, and a little bit of orange that I submitted called sunrise. It has a refreshing taste. They put it on the site today, so that's cool! When I got it, I had a few friends that really loved it and wanted to get it, but they kept messaging me for the percentages. Now I can just show them that on the site. I even created a Butter Beer flavor because I'm such a big Harry Potter fan. It gets addicting!

biggest disappointments: v4l wow coffee. and as sad as i am to say it, "sweet summer lemonade" and "tangerine dreamsickle" by virgin vapors.… i LOVE virgin vapors and have spent basically all of my money on their fantastic liquids ... but these just didn't do it for me. the "tangerine dreamsickle" is more a matter of personal taste - just too strong and tangerine rindsy for me; i couldn't detect any of the "creamsickle" / "dreamsickle" aspect in this juice at all ... even adding just a drop or two of this to plain vanillas or caramels, &c to try to get the right flavour was a fail - still tasted STRONGLY of tangerine pith. a lot of people seem to really like this juice though, so i do think it is just my tastes. on the other hand, the "sweet summer lemonade" smelled and TASTED delicious but was so incredibly acidic that it ate through not only my end caps but through the bottom of a brand new stainless steel carto ... at which point i was just too scared to even brave using any more!! perhaps it was just the batch / bottle?? but yeah ... other than those two acidic flavours, absolutely EVERYTHING i have had from vv has been fantastic (~30 flavours at this point), including the less acidic and definitely creamy/sweet lemon chiffon. vv is still by far my "go-to" vendor.
biggest pleasant surprises: highbrow vapor's "hazelnut cream" (i requested double hazelnut flavour only), johnson creek "merango" (i'm not a big fan of strawberry juices but WOW this tastes like eating a strawberry at the farmer's market!) heather's heavenly vapes "cinful apple" (a little thick but slight diluting easily rectified that), and vv's "celestial honeydew", "peanut butter banana sandwich", "hazelnut", "french vanilla", and "buttercream mint" ... all so unbelievably true to what the "real" things taste like ... i never expected to love the apple and nut flavoured juices but so far they are my favourites!! mbv has also pleasantly surprised me with most of their very affordable juices - the best i have tried being "caramel apple" and "green ice". to revisit the disappointment list, i was also not thrilled by mbv's "yellow cake" or "bananas gone nuts" despite their seemingly glowing reviews ... which just goes to show how very subjective taste is and that you may LOVE a juice i hate and vice versa. the setup you're using at the time also plays a key role in how different juices taste ... i say try as many as you can without breaking the bank!! especially if it makes quitting the analogues actually FUN ... which has been my experience! good luck and enjoy!!

I'd say my biggest let down was Berries 'N Cream from DND it seemed like everyone loved it in reviews. Guess it just wasn't for me :/ i got sampler pack from pink spot and everything was good but one of the samples is now my all time favorite vape! Frozen Lime Drop is simply the best liquid I have ever had hands down! Just wish it wasn't so expensive.
