First off, thanls to all you guys that have filled the pages of this forum thus far. Yoi have made this much easier for me.
A problem that I keep running into is that I like to smoke while I ride. Is there an automatic model out there that would work for me? It needs to be relatively light and not be acti ated by the wind and noise that is produced on the back of the bike. Any ideas you have would be helpful. I know I can’t be the only one out there who has had this problem.

there is a thread around somewhere where someone put a manual switch on their handlebars, and wired it to their battery, which they wired to a cartomizer mouthpiece that was worn inside their helmet. Can't find it for the life of me, but he said it worked like a charm.

I was thinking about something like that but with an auto switch. I’ll have to see if I can find that thread, it would be nice to be able to vape even when it vets cold out here.

Right off the top of my head I'm thinking getting a good water proof 12 volt accessory socket hooked into the battery with or without a switch. This could be remotely mounted and out of sight. Then get a USB powered car adapter and a manual PT, rig up a holder for the handle bars or a sheath type setup and it will always be right there to take a hit on.

Both the KR8(except V4L) and the SmokeStik are vacuum operated. I've stuck my KR8 out the sunroof at 40mph and it did not fire. Same w/ my SmokeStick. They are both great, but I prefere the SS. They are the closest to an actual cigarette that I have tried in an e-cig. And they are just plain great looking. Here is the ECF discount page SmokeStik ::: Alternative Smoking They have gold or pink batts for $15. And you can get the SS cartos(which are great, especially the Menthol), or you can get some cartos(RN4081) from Goodprophets.com and get a free 30ml bottle of juice is you are first time buyer from them. Either of those two models will set you up well.

I never smoked when I rode, people do it all the time! When an e cig is dropped it cant start a fire, major plus!

Dropping it can be 20.00+ down the drain buying a new batt & atomizer, compared to a .50 analog. Them little old ladys like turning in front of bikes or the other guy picking up his phone and swerving towards the bike when one hand is puffing away. The thought of dropping an item worth .50 compared to 20.00 could slow the reaction of actually dropping it when it has to be dropped to drive. Just My opinion.

This is very true. Thats what I’m trying to find my way around. With an analog I can light it at a red light and just leave it in place while I do what I need to do. I’m hoping to find something I can do that with in a PV. The ego is so heavy that it would probably bounce loose when I hit a bump. And here in texas theres alot of wind, so fishing it out to hit it while I hold the button and putting it back is all doable, but risky (old ladies). so light enough to just sit in my lips and puff on is what Im going for. Thanks for the suggestions everybody.

Let me just say, smokestiks are very compact, and very light but they work very well. I hold mine in my mouth all the time(not while riding though, lol). There was a member who posted a handle bar mounted juice box, coolest PV mod I've ever seen. Worth searching around.

When it comes down to it though, in the case of dropping $20 worth of soon to be junk if you don't react fast enough, it's kinda a no brainer. I doubt I would worry to much about it and manuever as necessary, just like w/ a cig. And you don't have to worry about the cherry getting in your suit and burning you. lol

I have a lanyard with a juice bottle velcroed to it. It works great, never loose it and never run out of juice. I think I'm the one they were talking about with the switch hooked up to the handlebars. I used it a few times but ended up going to the lanyard as it was more convenient. I use manual battys now but started with the autos, either work fine. I have a full face helmet so I melted the cart to an angle so I could get it in my mouth, looks silly but works! I ride alot and never leave home without it.
