Yeah, they take dust baths. They originally come from around volcanic areas where there is little water, and the water that was there, they drank, so they evolved to bathe in the volcanic ash. If they get wet, their fur can mold because its so dense and hard to dry.
Once you learn all of their needs, pretty low maintenance. They are rodents so their teeth grow constantly, so you have to learn what woods are safe for them to chew and which are poisonous. They also need hay and high quality food. They have to take dust bath every few days. They chew everything, lol.
Aweeeee, sweet baby. I love to see mistreated pets get a home they deserve. Drives me insane when i see folks who clearly aren't taking care of an animal and then they have many more. Why or why do people not have common sense.
Yeah. I got her from a family that got her from a school. She was a science class pet that was cared for poorly and mistreated. Their little girl brought her home for the summer and refused to take her back.
