I custom ordered some double flavors from Gourmet Vapor and got almost nothing from those.

Now that doesn't surprise me. I ordered a fistful of various exotic flavors from Gourmet Vapor while they had a 50%-off thing going on--even took the opportunity to go all out and specify triple flavor. I was shocked at how weak they all were.

Whenever I've had this sort of dog-day-afternoon problem I've been able to snap myself out of it with a particularly virulent strain of menthol, Menthol Freeze 2X from Strictly E-juice: https://strictlyejuice.com/index.ph...ducts_id=316&zenid=8pkc334gqqctg36sfoe54oenq5 . I think of it as electroshock therapy for the tastebud, and it does seem to wake mine up.

All my hilarious damnations of cartomizers aside, I don't think there's much debate that drops of e-juice directly onto the bridge will mean more intense flavor--and you don't really have to be driving at 110 mph to realize the effect.

Having said that--and in view of the fact that (A) your tastebuds aren't comatose, they're just being selective, and (B) your case has been going on for quite awhile--I've got to wonder if your problem lies elsewhere than on your tongue, in which case bombing your tastebuds relentlessly might be counterproductive. Do you have any other physical symptoms?

Perhaps the tobacco beast within is resorting to guerrilla warfare, sabotaging the lines of communication between your vapes and your mind.

I haven't had anything else physically that I've noticed. I did notice that my apple is coming through better today and I'm wondering if it's because I'm using this $1.75 cartomizer from Strictly E-Juice instead of my usual $7 for 5 cartos I've gotten elsewhere. I hate to think that I'm gonna have to spend that much for a carto to get a decent taste but that's what seems to be working.

This has happened to me. I started vaping atomic cinnacide from TV and after this I cannot taste any other flavors. Most people tell me to not vape AC for a few days and the other flavors will come through. I tried this but could not get a throat hit from any other flavors. I have ordered other cinnamon flavors to try these.

Have you tried dripping in all this? I'm not trying to proselytise you into drippianism, just curious to see if it might make at least a noticeable difference.

On the buck seventy-five thing, be sure to figure the free shipping into the math--and the axiom that a little more for something beats less for nothing every time...

Honestly, I haven't.
I've never used a separate atty and cart setup. Never saw the point of messing with two pieces when cartos make life easier. Every time I've tried to pull the stuffing from a carto, all I do is destroy it so I gave up.

You have a point there. The free shipping thing does tend to balance it out. It appears they have cancelled that item or are out of stock now. All I can find are their prefilled cartos for the 510.

Man, this is $%^$##n bullcrap! After about 4 hours of vapin that tasty RY4... bang, almost no flavor. Can't taste the mallpw and the rest of the flav is extremely subtle, almost like vapin straight vg. (I'm not saying the FSUSA juice lost it's flavor... just my buds i'm sure). I've tried mouthwash, brushing and scraping the tongue, switching between other flavors for a while etc and nada. This has been goin on for about 3 weeks and i'm beginning to wonder if i'll ever taste any juices for more than a few hours.

I wonder if this is similar to how the mind ignores certain things you're around a lot. Like people that can't smell the catbox they live with or people that live around an airport not really hearing the planes after a while, or a husbands ability to tune out the wife... Heh, prolly gonna get lynched over that one.

This must be what I'm experiencing too. All of a sudden flavors that I was OK with are now tasting like crap. I can get them better w/doctoring them w/other flavors so I can tolerate it though. Takes some playing around with. Menthol & caramel have worked pretty good so far. I was expecting this to happen with food, but not the juices. Odd! For some reason, I'm not drinking water as much as I did w/analogs. Haven't figured that one out. Not good. Hope it passes soon.

Be careful with that. Vaping has a tendancy to dry out your throat and can lead to some nasty morning inflamation. I now try to make sure i drink a good amount of water especially prior to bed and have not had any further problems like that. The most bizzare thing is how foods and beverages taste just fine. Weird how it is so selective just targeting juice flavors.

Just from being around so long I've seen this come up many times. Our flavor buds are sensitive and not accustomed to constant flavor. You may notice raised bumps on your tongue - these are your flavor buds not happy. The last thing you should do is anything that irritates them more, like scraping or brushing your tongue.

When mine act up I drink more water, eat foods with less spiciness and vape something with mint or menthol. Now that I know this I'm more gentle with my tongue and can get it back to normal in a short time. :p

Well, I have no raised bumps, any over sensitivity or any other sign of inflamation and irritation (except for my mood at this point). I can taste watermelon, cinamon and creme de menthe just fine but they are low on my favs list. Switching to those for a day seems to have no effect on the other flavs when switching back. I will be doing the DIY route next.
