Hi guys,
see if you can help

I have been using a eleaf Pico with a Melo 3 mini tank. 0.5 Ohm atomizer for about a month.
this atomizer is a week old.

I am dualing with analogs, bout 7 a day. so the vaping is minimal

trying different strengths of my baker vapors 0,3,6,12 and 18mg, POET 12mg bourbon scroll and VGL Reserve 6mg tobacco, I keep getting a burning sensation on my tongue and very very strong uncomfortable throat hits and if it continues I may have to go back to analogs full time, this really sux as I was getting very used to the ecig and almost off the analogs completely, ecigs make me much more relaxed

really was enjoying the poet and vgl, but not the after burn taste and crippling throat hit,
my friend tried it and almost choked! and that was a 6mg liquid.

seems also alot of liquids have no flavour and i cant even think about chasing clouds.

Also does the tongue tingling sensation go away?
any ideas?

When i first started to mix, i added 2% vodka, sorta popular 3 years ago in some DIY circles.

Was awful, had a hell of a tongue Bite.
Be advised that some flavors use alcohol as a carrier. Usually PG, but you may have Unlucked out.

Being a dual user, its difficult to sort out what is causing your symptoms..

in what respect, can be a combination thing do you think?

Let me start by assuring you that there are no "dumb questions" here. We are here to share information with eachother, those within the "vape community" or eager to get their feet wet. I can PROMISE you that over the years, I have found many answers here, gotten much information and I find that there's always something knows or has an opinion on that's helped... That being said, TRITON Coils will fit your Melo 3 tank; going with a TRITON 1.8 coil, you will be able to Vape with lower wattages so not to have such a burn or kick...
Ok, more info than you asked for... But I hope it helps :)

Also, the "burnt taste" seems a lot like a burned coil? That's been my experience... When I first started, I'd "chain vape" like hauling on a full cigarette I suppose (this was long ago). I still sometimes take long hauls heating the coils too much without thinking or hitting it too many times repeatedly. This REALLY seems to me what could be causing the harshness, tingling and burned taste. It seems also, as your back and forth with analogs, that you may more benefit from a mouth to lung type of vape, probably difficult to get with that particular tank, but it seems the 1.8 Triton coil may be a good option for you. (Someone here had to tell me this about letting the coil re-absorb juice before hitting it repeatedly as I was blowing through coils in a day, burning my throat and tasting ICK. Maybe some of my learned tips or tricks will solve some of your problems too... I hope so

well the coil is fine, I went back to the shop I purchased the device from, and we pulled it apart,
I just don't think they should have sold me a sub ohm tank, that is the problem here, because he took a puff and was almost floored!
and yep do enjoy mouth to lung

Because you're back and forth from the analogs, I'm thinking you want a MTL (mouth to lung) vape as opposed to direct lung vaping. I'm guessing, GUESSING (I'm wrong ALOT, so correct me if I'm wrong) that you're more used to a draw off a cigarette??? I'm telling you, this was my problem. I actually years ago, ordered a simple e-go set up for $30 online that came with 2 bottles of juice and whatnot. It arrived on a Saturday afternoon. I put it together, vaping candy apple for the rest of the day. Sunday morning, I lit a cigarette with my coffee, ick, snuffed it out right away, reaching for the vape pen. This was no hero move after 20 years of smoking, I just liked the taste of Candy Apple better and I found the draw to be similar... That being said, this was a mouth to lung draw, similar to smoking (it did not have the wattage that you began with; as the vape world hadn't expanded to the extent that it has now... Well, not where I began anyway) Point, you may have WAY more than you're ready or bargained for. You went for a straight up much more advanced sub-ohm set up. MY next step up, was an istick and a Nautilis Mini (I'm small, as is the Pico, smaller set ups fit more comfortably in my hand)... I like now the Triton Mini better than the Nautilus Mini (better airflow, more flavor)... I still use both tanks although I did recently take the subohm plunge. With your style of vaping, it seems to me, as if you're just not ready for it yet??? Does this kind of sort of make sense to you?

Ok, MTL, doesn't work with a sub-ohm set up. Mouth to lung means you draw in through your mouth like a cigarette and then to lungs (the BEST tanks for this would be a Nautilis (Nautilus Mini if you prefer smaller like me or the Triton MINI) The former was my next step up from the e-go. The Triton Mini was released later, thus when released, I got 1 (love it, using it now)... The air flow may not fit right with your Pico Battery. I MAY be wrong??? (Again, I'm wrong alot...) I am NOT wrong and VERY sincere in telling you that either 1 of these tanks WOULD BE BEST FOR YOU at THIS TIME. My thought is that your set up is just too much AND a vape style that doesn't yet suit you? Am I making ANY SENSE???

Yes, hun, you are ABSOLUTELY right! He sold you the WRONG set up for now. (Can you return it?) If not, put it asside for now... You may give in to subohming at some point? After 3 years, i finally did; believe it or not, I considered the same set-up you have now (hehe). I ended up going with another. You can get an istick 30 watt for probably $20-$25 online, a good battery that will last you all day; pair this for now with the the Aspire Triton Mini (I now prefer) or the Aspire Nautilis or Nautilis MINI (the size being the only difference). These are the best MTL tanks (in my sincere opinion) for you. You're story seems quite similar to mine. This has been MY experience. After 3 years, I STILL use these tanks. You will find ALOT less KICK ( I kind of want to kick the guy who sold you your kit if you told him what you were looking for!!!)

Unfortunately, the Pico was designed for a more advanced sub-ohm set up (tank). Many tanks just won't fit (the regular Triton does... thus the mini MAY). The Pico is just a battery, just a more (MUCH MORE) advanced battery.... You don't want or need that type of wattage NOR temp control for what your looking for.
A 30 watt eleaf I stick does NOT require an external battery, will, most likely last you all day and handle most sub-ohm tanks (to save you another battery investment, I hope the Triton Mini will fit on that battery. I'm sorry, I just don't know) *I can do some research to try to find out and get back to you*. You will only need, I'd say 12 -15 watts (max for me)... Maybe you want to try another vendor than who you're using too (there are tons out there). I'm here to help if you need me. Apologies for the novels, goodnight, hun (bottom line, you were pushed toward the wrong set up than what you need... You WILL get THIS... DON'T GIVE UP! (Here to help!) :)

Ok so does anyone know a good place where to buy vape devices in brisbane or australia? preferably with speady delivery

You are in a difficult position in Australia because of the laws on Nicotine.

You should ask on the Aussie Vapers forum, or some greedy brand will take you for crazy amounts of $$.

There are UK/US companies lining up to sell you stuff at massively inflated prices... oh yes... special 1000% profit margins to Australians....

(Be very, very careful)...
