What happens in this China mess we are in .....is confusion. I think i understand because i bought 2 joyetech kits in june. What makes it confusing is they put "c" on the battery and that has no meaning for the battery. The "c" has meaning when refering to the "changeable" system. My box is labeled "the ego-c , changeable system." The cone is labeled "c".

Anyhow, back to the problem.
Got my "c" up and running.
When you took the tank out, and got smoke, it sounds like what you did was a "dry-burn", which would make smoke, the gunk is being burnt off the coil. The "c" can have wicking issues, not much wick there. And its not easy to clean, the reason many of us have moved on to other things. The outside cone can get nice and warm, may be used for a hand warmer in the winter. Anyway, i wait to you get back and give an update.

I am using the regular C right now. Rather than refill the tank/cartridge this morning I filled it last night and left it on the Twist. I took a couple of vapes off the Twist then took the cone with the atty and cartridge attached off and put it on the regular C. So far, it is working fine.

The issue seems to happen when I take the cartridge/tank off and refill and then put it back on the regular C. But as of this moment it seems okay with the trickery.

Of course, I am going to buy an extra Twist...just to play it safe. I also have an eRoll which is nice for running around. I am sure I will get other goodies in the future...but for now as a relative newbie I don't want to find myself without working equipment.

Yes, always good to have back-ups, makes trouble shooting easy also. If you don't already, consider extra chargers also.
Glad to hear its working. Now it sounds like a connection problem. When you refill your tank, just pull it out and fill. It sounds like your taking it off the battery.
One thing very important to be aware of........NEVER overtighten any of this stuff......bad things start to happen. I like to under tighten then test fire, if nothing happens, tighten alittle more till contact is made.
Your ego-c system has more parts that need to make proper contact to work. No matter what you see or read avoid touching the center pin of your battery.....bad things happen there also.
