This is the one they are talking about...the new Black Chrome
We have a new production process that is being done on the chrome models that resists 90% of finger prints. Once they arrive I'll give you a full report, but they should be much less prone to take on prints
I like the flat black powder coat better. JMHO. In the end, Provari is Provari no matter what the color..=). Even if it was hot pink I would still use it. =)
I was just wondering about the durability of the finish. I have had several mods over the years and prefer stainless steel for the body. The chrome finish stainless is easy to restore using mother's polish. I just don't want to order the black and then after a year it looks like a worn down black aluminum baseball bat. I want a finish that will last until I do something out of the ordinary, like dropping it or something. I don't want a finish that fades away just from being in the hand most of the day.
I was also wondering what people are doing for the Silver chrome to take care of it. Are you guys using polish on them?

Just placed an order for the black chrome with the 18650 end cap and 2 18650 batts.

You could use a fine aluminum polish, or cape cod cloths.

possibly, i know mothers is fine, but also has texture to it. As long as you dont buff it to hard, it should be ok. I detailed cars for 13 years, so i know a good deal about polishes.
A good carnuba wax might do well also.
