For the first year that I vaped, I found only two flavors that I could really taste, peppermint & black licorice, so I ordered them in large bottles with extra, extra flavor shots. I still like those flavors, but once I was no longer using an ego set-up, what I had left was too much -- nic-wise and flavor-wise.

I've since started DIY, and used the rest of the peppermint ejuice, cutting it by 2/3s with vg/pg, and adding chocolate & cookie flavoring.

I've still got about 200 mls of highly flavored black licorice. Can anyone suggest some other flavors that might go well with licorice/anise?

Since you are in the Twin Cities you might try going to SmokelessSmoking and "taste test" their 506 brand, specifically Blackbird & Phoenix.

Blackbird is a berry base flavor with overtones of anise.
Phoenix is a cinnamon anise mix with a hint of fruit.
They are both very good but I really enjoy Phoenix.

If you like them then you could probably figure out what you might like to try adding to your current anise juice.

Try an apple pie with licorice. Ive had a premade juice that taste really good in that combination. Maybe a pear pie? Also try it with a custard.

I make this for my Mother. Maybe would work with the black licorice too, to change it up a bit.
12% tfa absinthe
8% tfa kiwi (double)
2% tfa citrus punch
3 drops per 10 ml of each tfa hypno type and cap orange creamsicle
And just for grins and giggles 1 drop menthol per 5ml.

Subbing the black licorice for the absinthe, and adding the fruits and citrus and menthol might yield you something new and tasty.

That's an excellent suggestion, thank you. I didn't know the shop was there, but when I looked it up, I see it's not far from St. Anthony Main. Next time we go for cheap movie Tuesday, I'll definitely check it out.

Wow, I can't even imagine what that would like like. :) When you mentioned citrus, it made me think of bergamot, which I've recently ordered. That's worth a try. Thank you.

Citrus, apple, and kiwi flavors compliment anise/black licorice flavors beautifully. I have a Pluid-style DIY that employs lime, orange, apple and kiwi with anise.

I've been thinking about developing a vanilla/anise liquid. I just need the free time to make it happen.

Yeah, I love anything anise/absinthe/black licorice!!
Went thru a lot of Pluid ish styled juices for a while (although never had Pluid) but quickly became over them. My Mom vaped them all up and so I began a quest to find a good diy recipe.

I have know idea where I found that original recipe, I tweeked it with Hypno and orange cream and my Mom loves it!

If you love the absinthe type of juices....if you ever run across Bugatti or Grenada or Drakes Alchemist they all are a fruity/anise type.....Bugatti was my favorite.

I plan on playing with absinthe and Pineapple at some point...:p
