Black particles in spilled juice

Can someone give me his opinion on the problem i explained here:

This maybe is the more appropriate section.

Basically, i blow the excess liquid from my DSE103 cartridges on a tissue and it has black particles in it. Liquid burning residue or something else? I hope it's not the steel wool coming apart.

It is most likely dry residue that has flaked off the atomizer coil. Mostly likely carbon and possiblt carbonates and silicates so not harmful.

theres an old but relevent thread about particles on the cartridge material which are no doubt the same material as what's coming out of atomizers. I get it when i blow out mine.
My theory is it particles from the breakdown of the atomizer (wire wool) resevoir.

There was worry for a time that the cart filling was burning or that fibres inside the atomiser coil were burning, which would be worrying. I, at least, am confident that the black particles are the dry deposits from juice after evaporation that have flaked off the heater coil and stuck in the cartridge filling.

By dry residue is meant the solids left behind when the VG/PG, water and alcohol have evaporated (been vaporised). Much like bits of limescale from a kettle heater element flaking off and getting into your tea.

I know what your saying Kinabaloo and it's just as possible.

Thing is on the thread i linked to, Kit and I have had the same issue with brand new atomizers and carts with not any real vaping time to allow build up to occur. but again it's just as likely to be either or even both ..who knows..

I've read the thread, they are worried about inhale them, i'm more worried about ingesting them, given my DSE103 habit to suddently allow liquid spill. Thing is it's the first time it happens to me, i've tried 3-4 liquids, it must be this new one. Do you think i should finish the bottle or order a different one?

i'm 99% sure its not a juice issue rather than a device issue. Like i said in the other thread , i was getting it with my classic and my ruyan bling ( top branded product) and kit was getting it with his 901.
All different devices using all different juices..it a design or manufaturering fault in the atomizer. I can't offer any opinions on what to do other than what's been discuseed already. In the end it's up to you use it , throw it out all your choice.

Never fear its just atomizer poop... atomizer leavin's so to speak... just grind em up pack em in a bowl and smoke that stuff its good...

Bits of deposit will be found from day 1.SurbitonPete has installed an air filter and found this is the case. Deposits form first day and seems some of it in tiny bits comes off the coil.

I have only just seen this thread about the black bits ......I haven't got a clue what to suggest people can use but I really do think everyone should have a particle filter in the mouthpiece between them and what they are inhaling.

Its burnt dry deposits from the juice. With some juices moreso, some of the burnt deposit flakes off. Often so small it is not noticed.

Any atomiser with a heater coil will be the same.

I couldn't handle this- have you thought about trying a dif model?
I have never had any black particles...

I have put a piece of fine mesh similar to the metal wicking material in my mouthpiece and I am very surprised by how often I find a minute black particle on the tissue when I wipe it.

a wet cart usual catches the black particals.

these particles 'would' have been in my mouth if it wasn't for the mesh catching them!

Pete - I've installed an air filter now and will have a look at it later. (3mm of ciggy filter - fits just right just inside a round 901 mouthpice.

The flute usual catches the ones that escape the cartridge filling.. but i agree a few will be inhaled.. if i have an atomizer that is producing black partials i replace with a new atty cant be bothered fiddling around with filters hehe
