I'm fairly new to cable but I been getting small black particles in my tank. I'm using ss cable from mc master none galvanized. Wrapped with mesh. Any ideas? Should I be worried?

i agree with BigL.
youll get those particles from time to time. just wash the tank and presto. you can keep the same wick and wire if you remove it carefully.
ive even gotten those particles washed down into my bottom feeder's juice bottle when i used stock attys. theyre not fun, but i dont think theres any concern.
