looking for an authentic black tea flavor. so far I've only tried flavor west and I'm still tweaking the ratios. It smells amazing but tasted nothing like the smell. added a little sweetener and I am detecting notes of lemon, but very VERY little to no black tea. I have some TFA/TPA black tea on the way. so hopefully all goes well. I am more interested in out of the ordinary flavors than all the fruity candy crap that's out there.

How long are you steeping it? I haven't tried black tea, but have tried a couple of different green and sweet teas. All of them had to steep for about a week before any kind of tea flavor started to come out.
some I have tried immediately, others a week or more. they smell amazing!! I think the trick is getting the concentration right and balancing it with something else perhaps. i just haven't found it. tried it at 15% with nothing else and it was nearly medicinal. I just received a 4ml bottle of TFA black tea and the smell on it is horrid, but I will be experimenting with finding a good balance. I want something that has that strong black tea aroma and is every so slightly sweetened yet slightly bitter on the end of your tongue.
I like complexity in flavors, not in your face.

I tried the TFA Green Tea and at 20% it tastes exactly like green tea. I added about 5 drops of TFA honey to it and got something very close to Arizona brand flavor, but the smell was HORRIBLE!!!! Like urine, actually. Tried Capellas sweet tea. 20% is just a bit weak and it takes a week to steep. Has a slight lemony twang to it and is a little bit salty on the tip of the tongue. Mixed in some TFA raspberry and got something vapeable.
