Hi all,

Decided to clean my clearomizer last night for the first time.
Let it dry overnight and filled it up a little while ago.
Smoke was being produced inside and there is the burning sound when I pressed the button but I was not able to suck anything in.
Noticed that there was a slight leakage so i took it apart again and adjusted to make sure everything was on tight.
Works now but part of the wick is slightly black and does not produce much smoke.
I read online then I can burn the black off.
Does this actually work?
Scared to try it as I don't have a spare wick.

The wick was totally clean after I washed it so I'm assuming something happened when I made a mistake the first time round.
Tried the dry burn for like 3 sec but don't think there was any gunk as the coil was red immediately so I didn't bother.
My e-cig is only a week old and I've only gone through like 7ml so far.

My 5pence worth of advise....

1) Take apart the clearo again...
2) Boil the metal parts n the head with coil (except for the plastic tank n tip) for 2-3 mins in boiling water...
3) Then take it out n dry all the parts.... N reassemble.
4) Although your wick may be wet, do not press your button......
*impt: drip 2-3 drops of juice onto the coils & wick then u start...everything should be fine

If its done properly u should be fine..... But do go get some spare heads.... Clearos are easy to change n dun cost tat much....

Sorry still a noob.
Head means the metal part beneath the translucent cover right?
Where the wicks are.
If it is then yea I've just asked someone to help me get a couple of spare.
Will try your advice once I get a spare.
Still works fine but just wondering how to get rid of it.

Thanks for the help

Yes that's the part, it can be unscrewed out ( it will come off together with your wick n coil)...
Well, once ure friend get some for u, then like u mention giv it a go.....
Then when u sian already........ Time to move on to bigger toys

Actually its a single ss cable wick and its an Orion, spring loaded positive post is the offset configuration. But you got the ribbon correct. Sorry for the bad lighting.
