Blank Cartomizers - $1.60 seems pricey. Cheaper source?

I had a post almost done and then lost it... :grrr:

Anyway, I've got my first e-cig. I have a starter kit from v2cigs.com. It appears to be a version of the KR808D-1. I ordered some e-juice from FSUSA. I've had some mixed success with refilling, but I'm getting the process down. I have some questions about that, but that's another topic. Long story short, I like it.

... but I'm going to need some blank cartos. FSUSA sells 5-packs for $8. I can buy 80 prefilled cartos for $1.70 each. I'm not sure how much mileage I'm going to get out of each cart. I started with 19 pre-filled and so far I've burned out at least 1.

Surely there must be a trusted supplier that can offer blank cartos that can compete on price and performance. Is there some consensus here about where to buy the best blank cartos at the lowest cost?

I don't use 808s but, $1.60 isn't high for cartos. If you refill them, they last about aweek before they start tasting grungey and supposedly you can boiled them to bring them back from that.

I've actually been searching for the same exact thing!! From what I've heard tho, you get what you pay for, so if you buy something cheap it may not be the best. These are vendors I've either read about (good things) on here or have dealt with myself. So far here is what I've come up with, the prices are for a box of 5 blanks:

LeCig = $8.99 (they have free shipping on all orders) The last batch I bought from them I didn't like. They seem to need to be "broken in". The first day or so it's like sucking on a pencil. Absolutely no draw at all!! But they eventually loosen up and work ok. This is what prompted me to look elsewhere, I've loved LeCig.
Liberty Flights = $8.19 ($2.99 shipping) They have Boge and Kranger brands. I've only heard great things about Boge and I want to try some but they are out of stock atm. I plan on trying them as soon as they get more!
Bloog = $9.99 ($7.95 shipping) I've heard awesome things about these, and I have some on order, but I haven't tried them yet.
V4L = $8.95 ($6.95 shipping) I believe they have WOW and Cool brands. Never tried them but I have a box of each inc
GoodProphets = $7.99 ($3.00 shipping, but free with purchases over $30) never tried them.
FSUSA = $8.00 ($5.00 shipping) never tried them
MyVaporStore = $7.25 ($2.50 shipping) never tried them
LiteCigUSA = $7.95 ($2.25 shipping) never tried them
eliquidplanet = $6.99 (couldn't find shipping info) never tried them

These are all prices for the KR808D-1 blank cartos. I checked a few other sites but they were so pricey I didn't even put them on my list. I decided to stay away from the cheapest vendor, for now, and went with the most reputable. And one that I could find good reviews on their cartos on ECF. That is why I bought Bloog, V4L and waiting for Liberty Flights to get some Boge! As I said above, I've only tried LeCig (Vaperiot is the brand I think?) cartos. The first time I bought them (August 2010) I absolutely loved them! I bought 10 and they lasted me until February 2011, I'm still using some of them from August just needed to restock. But when I bought 10 in February they were obviously not the same brand and I'm not happy with their new brand, so I went searching!

If you get good soft-cap ones you should be able to get 4-7 days use out of each. Some people successfully clean and dry them and get more use out of them. I like Boge.
