Pictor, I've found the same thing out about myself. I have gone as long as 5 hours without and that was not when I was sleeping. It's only when I'm stressed that I want to vape more. So now I'm wondering if I'm trying to tell myself I'm ready to step down to 3mg from 6.
It's something you can only work out by trying it.
I found it fairly easy to get down to 6 from 12, and for a few months now I've been mixing zero with 0.6 to a degree with roughly half of the ones I use regularly.
I keep some favourites at 0.6 and others in a mix: some 50% of each strength, some at 60 to 40 zero.
I also have some menthol ones at 0.4mg.
So gradually it's getting lower. Slowly, I'll try making more into a mix to lower more of the 0.6.

Like you though, some days I feel the need for higher strength, so I have a couple of stronger ones. Better to be prepared ;)

Some days it's easier than others to leave longer spells without, but other times, like when I'm sat here reading or watching TV, I use more.
As long as it's heading in the right direction, it's fine, and for me, best not getting overly concerned about ...steady as it goes :)

I'm still chain vaping. Except when I'm in my internship and even there I go to the bathroom every hour or so to take a vape "pee". Will my need to vape like a chain gang go away the longer I vape? I am still new, only a month in at 18mg (I was at 24mg until Clark moved me down to 18).

Thanks,
Dani

I started with 24 using the cig-size batteries and cartridges, and stopped smoking very quickly. It was almost by accident because I'd begun by just seeing if I could cut down a bit, and had no intention of stopping. When I realised how many cigarettes that e-cig was replacing, I began seeing how far I could go ...I stopped!
I soon went down to 1.8 and then 1.2 - It was at that point I found I had the sensitivity to PG and had to start using VG in clearomisers ...I used the e-Smart ones. I then got some Evods and reduced to 0.8 then 0.6.
I went on to bigger batteries, MVP's and iSticks and the better tanks, and that's where I'm at now with my variations in strengths from 0.6 down to 0.3.

Early on, a friend warned me not to try and reduce down too fast once I got to 0.6 ..he'd found the reduction down lower and to zero tougher, and told me to only do it gradually, and when I felt able or comfortable with it.

I'd stick with your 18mg for now, as it's relatively early days, but perhaps try a little of 12 now and then to see if you notice the difference by wanting to use more of it.

RDA's (Stillare and others) are also commonly called "drippers". RDA stands for Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer. You got what you asked for, but because the verbiage is being used to describe different things sometimes (things are called "tanks" but some you have to build coils on and some you do not) it can get confusing really quick. B&M staff should learn to ask a question or two to determine what someone really wants. A simple "Is there anything in particular you were looking for?" does wonders. With the answer, they can understand the needs of their customers. There is a sell, and then there is a good sell. The good sell gets people to come back :)

So, how much time have you had with the Stillare? Are you liking it so far?
Thank you for explaining the RDA's to me. I had no idea what it stood for. I'm half afraid to tell the truth before I don't have an ohm reader yet, but I am enjoying it, just with really crappy juice. I couldn't find 100% organic cotton anywhere in Columbus, Ohio, so I had to order it online. It still hasn't came. Hopefully tomorrow. A friend is sending me samples of different steeped NT juices, so I hope they come around the same time so I can reap the benefit of having the fresh cotton with quality e-juice.

And I called the manager about the ohms reader and why they didn't mention it to me. She stated it was because I am building with 28g wire and with 8-9 wraps, it was not a danger. She did say to come back in when I get the Reo so they can teach me how to do the readings, etc. I promised to purchase the ohms reader from them in return for them to teach me how to do my own coils and how to read the meter. That store really is good to me, I can't complain.

UPDATE: I found the "dripper" I want! Yay!

Take care, and sorry for this long winded post.

Could you please tell me what kind of "dripper" I can use with a Silver Bullet, if you have time. I would really, really like to have some instead of altering the taste of my expensive $2.99 wicks. I would appreciate your help so much.

Take care, and sorry for this long winded post.

Dani? Did you look at the links to Baditudes Blogs that I gave you the other day??

As a general rule, to me, it seems like a better value to snag up something like an eLeaf iStick (or other variable voltage device that has an OLED display and reads resistance) - since it serves the same function/purples as that ohm reader, and, you can vape it. The benefit to a dedicated ohm reader, for me, is the ability to read sub-ohm resistances, or, in the case of my particular reader, it will read a resistance out to 2 or 3 decimal places. (IE, .504ohms)

Soignee, I took a glance and I didn't really know what they were talking about, but I didn't bookmark it. I'd like to find it again, but I can't... googled it and the only things that popped up were not Baditudes Blogs.

Could you please redirect me, please? I don't know which post to look at because there are so many.

Thank you,
Dani

I'm noticing n many of your posts that you are showing a lot of frustration. To help alleviate some of that frustration I will post some links again for you to educate yourself on some of the safety issues associated with electronic cigarette use that are basics for users of non regulated devices. Baditude is considered the ECF guru of sorts on these issues. Good luck to you!

This is the one you start with. I have them in graduating order.

Soignee,

Thank you so very much. I am feeling a little intense and I'll tune it down a notch. :) Finals are coming up and it feels like I'm not getting that "fix" I want. I think it's my addictive personality coming through which I hate. I will be more positive. :) I really am a positive person for real!

I am bookmarking this page so I won't lose it again!

You're a doll. Thank you for your help.

Soignee, I had to reply again. I actually looked at the threads you provided, took my time, and read them. Some are still a little over my head, but I have a MUCH more knowledge base on what the heck I'm doing. I really, really, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I'm so glad you took time out of your day for me to be more versed on what I'm doing. Everything is so much clearer now.

xoxoxo,
Dani

 Dani!
We recognize your frustration because we have had the same feelings! :)

Some of us struggled more than others, and still do. Helping YOU helps US.
Try not to be hard on yourself - you are doing GREAT! :thumb::thumb:
Thank you for your kind words, Nanny. That's something my real-life Nanny would say to me. <3 Thank you.
