So let me explain a little... I am 25 and I have extremely high blood pressure. I used to be on all kinds of meds and stuff when i was 20 after awhile i got down to a somewhat safe blood pressure so they took me off meds and i went about my business, over the years it got bad again...

Last month I went back to the doctor after a bad ER visit and my blood pressure was 183/107 so they put me back on meds and told me to come back in a month for a check up. almost 19 days ago I quit smoking to live a better life and live longer. I was fed up with waking up coughing and gasping for air and such. I got very cranky in the first week and turned to Chew and Snus to feed my nicotine addiction, they didnt work. I started smoking ecigs on the Feb. 21st and have only had 2 real cigarettes since then out of curiosity and they tasted like crap...

Anyways today was my month check up with the doctor. My blood pressure was 121/63. I understand most of that is my blood pressure meds doing their job... but I cant help but think that quiting smoking has helped alot to. in only a month I dropped my blood pressure that much, Its awesome and since I quit smoking I have not had any chest pains and I breathe better and I have more energy. I couldnt have quit with out the ecig at all. I would have gone back to smoking analogs just like all the times before.

Sorry this post was longer then I intended but I thought I would let everyone know how amazing I feel and how much more alive and healthier I feel since I have cut cigarettes out of my life. I will never go back now. I got a second chance!

Thanks for reading my babbling :)

Congrats macpanda!

I've also had bp problems and have been on meds for years. A few weeks after I started ecigs I noticed I was feeling differently so I checked my bp and it was down considerably. I made an appt and my dr had to adjust my meds to a lower dose. Now everything is fine and like others here I feel so much better with tons more energy.

I am excited to go back to the doctor in 2 months.

I last went in the middle of February (about 2 days after getting my 901), and my blood pressure was 141/82. Not really SUPER high, but it wasn't where he wanted it.

He decided he was going to let me have a couple months watching what I ate and exercising before he put me on medications to treat it. I also told him that I was going to be tobacco free the next time I saw him. He was happy to hear that, but I think he didn't truly know what to think about the e-cigs. He said "well, it's gotta be better than smoking!"

I think that it'll be interesting to see what my blood pressure looks like when I go in and get checked out again.

Should be very telling.
