I get my blood tested periodically- keeping track of cholesterol, triglycerides, and thyroid since I'm on medication for those. I always need to fast for 12 hours prior to having blood drawn. Since I have to fast for 12 hours, I'm wondering if the PG/VG from vaping could possibly cause any inaccuracies with my blood tests if I vape during the time that I'm fasting?

Anyone know?

fortunately for me, BP is not an issue. With or without vaping, my BP is very good. My cholesterol, triglycerides, and thyroid are a bit out of whack (new to me), and the doctor is playing around with different meds and dosages to get me on the right fix. So that means blood tests every couple months to see what the latest rounds of meds are doing. And I don't want to give any inaccuracies. I guess I should just play it safe and not vape the morning of my blood tests.

If your thyroid is out of whack, it will put the cholesterol out of whack with it. I think the triglycerides too. Once the Doctor finds your right level for your thyroid meds the others sometimes fall into place. That being said, I think it's good to not vape on the morning of your test. I have heard of people getting told to not even chew gum that morning.

Hope they get you straightened out fast. :)
