I take it the loose usb connection problem has been taken care of with the new version. Sure wish I didn't just buy a normal bloog pass through, I would have bought this instead.

Hope everyone enjoys the new product! So is this what leaford was hush hush about? I've got to think that there is even more in the works. He's always comming up with something new and cool. ;)

But be advised the trifecta (at least the previous version) is not real pass-through. It allows you to vape while charging, and that's excellent, but the voltage used to vape is still coming from the battery, not the USB connection.

Ps: I really love my trifectas, and what would be really great would be if they were regulated and had an auto switch as good as the BMF.
Guess We'll have to wait for Leaford to tell us if any of those have been upgraded.

Since unregulated, does this mean the voltage while
plugged in is a full 4.2v?

That actually could work VERY well for me.

I love my bloogs and particularly the cartos and the
horizontal coil. I get a lot of extended mileage from
them and great vapor production.

But I also sit at a computer most of the day and use
a passthrough at 5v, which requires me to use the
older standard 808 cartos (non-bloog).

4.2 volts could be a happy middle ground that allows
me to use the Bloog cartos on a "PT" and switch all
my cartos over to Bloog exclusively.

The regulated 3.6v PT could do the same, but the
added voltage at 4.2v might be just the right kick.

So... 4.2v on Trifecta? Anyone? Buehler?

The 1st gen Trifecta is not regulated

Thanks, pmos.

So new question...

Is the improved 2nd gen Trifecta unregulated and, if so,
is the full voltage while plugged in 4.2v?

If that's what you want...

What I want is tons, and tons, and tons of cool vapor. :)

The voltage while plugged in should be the actual battery voltage at the time.
(This is not a traditional passthrough)

What else the gatekeeper disclosed: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/bloog/249108-trifecta-missing-site-2.html#post5185076

LOL.
What about trying the long bats? (420mAh)
They're rather nice to use at home.

The 102 mm automatic long MF Bloog batt with a
MF Bloog carto is my on the go PV. Also a 78 mm
back up.

"On the go" includes anywhere around the house
and away from the computer. LOL

Could go with the 3.6v PT to use at the computer
for non-stop vapor production with a Bloog carto,
but would love to use something with slightly higher
power and vapor output.

So the 5v PT I'm currently using is great with one
exception... the cartos on my PT are not Bloog.

I've been ruined!

THe current carts, V2 should be fine with 5v, Dragginfly. We licked that problem some time back.

Thanks Leaford,

I don't have problems with any burnt taste in the
MF cartos at 5v. It's just a bit warm for my taste.

I'm really selling myself on the updated Trifecta and
guessing it will be 4.2v while plugged in.

I'll stop being such a tightwad and just get one. :)

Need some Red cartos, though.
