I am not going to use a goofy looking mod 2 years from now or ever. .

Me too neither.

But, there is a whole vaping subculture thing. The geekier and moddier (did I just invent a word?), the cooler you are in the subculture.

I carry around this mental image of a bunch of vapers sitting around, sucking on giant mods, sharing juice while playing Magic, The Gathering or something. And they always have a drip tip in their pockets, for impromptu juice sampling. LOL

It's all okay though, because there are actually chicks (ie: VapeBabes) who will hang out with them sometimes.

It becomes a hobby. People hate when I say that, but have you seen some of the pictures, where people have 10 mods lined up, and hundreds of bottles of juice? At that point, you're no longer looking for a replacement for smoking, you've found a new hobby. The actual vaping is secondary.

But ya totally silly, to say you wouldnt want this if youre experienced... Ive been vaping 8-9 months... never wanted a mod.... Why would i want to sit and drag 8-10 seconds when i have the kr8 and dont have to?

looks ridiculous and is veery annoing... AND you have to carry around the silly thing... Light sword type of gear... Luke i am your father!!! Who will challenge me to a to the death light sword vape gear battle!!! grr...

If youre a veteran youll gonna wanna sit and suck for 10 seconds rather than have a light drag and a good mouthfull of vapor... Ya, doesnt really sound right does it??

You're absolutely right.
I've even had a few discussions on the Portuguese vapers forum (I'm moderator there) about this.
The more people get involved in vaping as a hobby, the more they get "detached" from reality.
The truth is, most vapers use mini/cigarette lookalikes. The vast majority of them, don't even know/participate in any forums.
Only a small portion of vapers use mods.
It's like saying most people do car tunning, because that's what you see when you get into car forums.
Most car users are just that: users.
Most e-cig users are just that: users.
