Bloog looks like 100% stock e-cig. Like Smoke51 is 100% stock Loongtotem (from their sub-facility du jour. You might save time and money on the shipping from them but I doubt that either is getting the cream of the QC crop for the USA. Recent Bloog post here shows their shipping manifest where goods are held up in customs on both sides of the fence. Still held up in US from a 2/27 China departure of which one blogger here ordered product (and was charged) on 2/10.
Like they say, "Be careful out there". I've got my soldering iron holstered. I can fix these batteries most of the time but it's a pain in the .... and takes about a half-hour each one.
If you can find them for $10 bucks (like probably 10 times what they're worth) you might buy a couple and take the soldering iron route. Even if they test good for a day or two, they are pretty fragile inside so be prepared to repair.
I find that after I fix them by replacing batts with higher mah batts, fixing broken or poor solder joints (the wires are very thin so that they could fit in the barrels), bad transducers and little transistor/IC boards they measure up. I have six like that now and they rock.
I've taken some of the parts and made a USB thingie where the cig plugs right into a USB port on a car charger for constant power. The wire is a hassle, especially in the car and I find it ironic that I use a $700 laptop to emulate a $1 battery! USB spec 1 or 2 doesn't matter - it's just getting 5v power. Beleive it or not I tried to explore any code on the USB chargers through some low-level PC exploration with USB reader and SIM card software - nothing there, brain dead power supply, that's it.
I don't know if I'm too committed or should be committed.
At least I solved the battery problem for myself (with a lot of help from Ron from esmoke - to be fair). At least they have had no problem with getting me cartridges. They must have ate a lot of S51 batteries by making good on them.
On another note I checked out their trademark and it used to belong to Philip Morris, like 20 years ago. Wonder what's going on there? Ron says they have good lawyers who he says also prepped them on their supposedly upcoming Fox News Feature which was supposed to be filmed yesterday. I'll believe that when I see it even though they have always been straight up with me - but then again I'm a guy with a soldering iron... not a lie detector.
