none- just had soem about and thought I'd give it a try- just so you know, Tried Vodka on one that was almost dead- I beleive it completely killed it...
That's good to know, Nazareth. I've only used high proof Everclear in the hopes that it will evaporate more quickly. You (and many others on this board) should get a gold star for the willingness to fiddle with these things and share the information with everybody else. Thanks!

I don't have a lot of experience cleaning different types, but I'm sure I will in another few months. ;) I haven't tried actually putting the atomizer into alcohol, I just put a ml. or less in the top and then lightly turn it up and down and pour into a shot glass and repeat until I think its clean. Then I blow it from the battery end and let it dry. It seemed to clean it o.k. and it started producing good vapor again. I think cleaning may improve performance if the atomizer is dirty but it sure doesn't seem to improve longevity. But I don't think anything will improve longevity but better atomizers.

Yeah we definately NEED better atomizers if this product is to take off liek it should. SmartFixx sent me two new atomizers a week ago, and they were much dufferent than the previous ones I got with my pourchase of hteir penstyle. They didn't have near the white in the top, and these new ones smoke quite badly, producing about 1/3 of the vapor of my previous ones when they were new. I'm quite dissappointed right now as these two new ones are the only ones I have left that work.

One point I want ot make to everyone is, only try these cleaning techniques on atomizers that aren't workign very well at all, and which you think might be on their way out- don't try them on ones that are workign well, as it could kill it altogehter as I';ve found out. aslso, I've foudn that once you start gettign a slight burnign taste, you can probably baby it along for a bit, but the burnign taste only gets worse and worse- better to just get a new atomizer- I'm wonderign if hte burining mioght not be bad for us- I think once the 'fiber' that hte atomizer wire is wrapped around starts to charr, it's pretty much over for hte atomizer.

I know I'm brining up a dead post here (kinda) but I'd really like some quick info on the SmartFixx e-cigs..

I'm thinking about converting to them, but my problem is they say you can use them in doors in non-smoking areas.. If they produce a "vapor" (smoke), it's my thoughts that nowhere would let you smoke anyways, especially if the vapor has a scent?

Vapor has very little scent, and it';s a vapor- not a smoke- there are no harmful chemicals in the vapor- you'll need to explain htis to people if you wish to vape inside- it is perfectly legal to vape inside, but you may run into folks who simply can't beleive the vapor is harmless and won't 'allow' you to vape- it's up to you how adamant you want to be abotu the right to legally vape inside.

If I were you- I'd buy from Puresmoker.com - they are a lot less expensive, and you can get 3-4 atomizer for the price of just one atomizer from smartfixx- plus puresmoker's batteries are a lot less expensive as are their cartridges. To be honest with you- I did NOT have good luck at all with SmartFixx atomizers- some died within 2 days, none lasted more than two weeks I'm afraid. My atomizer from Puresmoker is STILL going good!
