I don't think you understand what I am saying; there are sites and software that you use to manage this type of emailing. Sending a mail out to a huge user list using your email client is just a really bad way of doing this. There are various, better ways of doing this and they don't need to cost much. I am happy to help you with this if you would like. I am actually surprised your ISP hasn't flagged this up to be honest (unless you manage your own email servers). Also, mass emails need to be dealt with different or else you simply won't reach the target mail box, sooner or later you will end up on yahoo's naughty list and your email will go straight to junk.

If you think I meant unsolicited email then sorry for the confusion.

Human error does happen unfortunately....sadly there is nothing we can do about it now though..just keep apologizing and promise to not let it happen again in the future.

Just remember, to err is human, to really screw things up requires a computer ;)

I feel for you. I have made my share of blunders over the years... it sucks. :(

we do host our own servers... This was not a forrmal marketing email...we do not plan on doing formal marketing emails...

This was a special offer on something that is not on the main website for customers only...this was actually really going to be a one time thing....

I do know what you are talking about...I have used them before for another business...you really need them if you are planning to do ongoing marketing....which we are not...but thanks =)

At the end of the day, human error happens; thst's what makes us human. I remember a while ago that Jason of totally wicked opened an e-mail he got; this got sent to everyone in his address book.

I, as a customer was a recipient and seeing his name and recognising it, I too opened it. Since then my prime e-mail address has been inundated with spam. Most of it is caught in the filter some is not, this is the chance we all take when using this medium to communicate.

Yes it's annoying, sometimes it's a total pain in the ... but mistakes do happen and if no malicious intent was uintended what can you do but learn by your mistakes!

We all need to be cut a break sometimes:cool:

That's why I have a "junk" email address that I use for online shopping. My actual email address is never given to random companies or strangers.

Same here, and before I started doing that I used to have to change email addresses every few months or so because between signing up for forums, online shopping, etc my email address ALWAYS managed to get leaked by one or more of them.

Now I have an email address for shopping and signing up for things, and an email that only friends and family get. Still though, the email for friends and family always somehow eventually gets leaked as well but not to the same extent as before. I think it's because you always have AT LEAST that one person in your family or circle of friends who like to send those forwarded chain emails to everyone they know without using BCC, your email addy ends up in the list and a bunch of those people keep forwarding it and before you know it half the world has your email.

This is what I do also. My cellphones email address is the only one i dont really hand out but honestly I dont even use email at all except for shopping and signing up for forums, services, or beta testing and I never check my email. I can understand why others are upset but me personally... I dont care at all. Anyone can have my email address, doesnt matter to me :)

It sounds like a honest mistake so we should give them a break, if it happens again then well... thats just stupid then.

NYC you should look in to what Wicked was talking about. The 3rd party stuff like E-mail and stats programs do wonders when doing online business, Ive ran a few e-commerece sites in my day and having stats and stuff like that is amazing.
