Basically it will be an invidiual battery and cartomizer in a package to be sold in stores. But unlike the store ones which are disposable ours will be a regular Bloog MaxxFusion battery which can be recharged and used over like the ones you buy from the site.

Thanks Red. So, a charger won't be included, correct? Will there be instructions with it to indicate where to get a charger?

THe new kits will be called Try-Me, and Try-Us. Try-Me will come with one white 78mm battery w/red LED, and one carto, 11 or 24mg Red or Menthol. The Try-Us will come with one 78mm batt, 2 cartos and a USB charger. They will be around $20 and $25, give or take. And each one will come with a one per customer coupon code for $10 off their next order.

Glad you asked Frick,

I'm still gathering more data points. I can't monopolize the machine, so I only get one test run every couple of days at best. And unfortunately, I just don't have any actual samples from the middle batch to compare to, just the original batch, and the latest one.

I ripped open one original sample and compared the batt cell by length to the ones from the assembly line. There is a surprising variability in cell lengths, up to 5mm, but the range is between 50-55mms. Which is consistent to my original sample, at 53mm.

I also had puff counts run between one unused 65mm and one 78mm batt from each batch, and the results have been consistent between the original and new, at 300-350 2-second puffs from the 65mm and 450-500 from the 78mm. And in fact the 65mm from the latest batch has been coming in consistently ahead of the old one.

Again, I did not have a sample from the suspect batch to test. There does seem to be up to a 10% variation in length normally. But that's not as much as you've observed, and that's just external length anyway. But I can say for sure that the latest batch matches up perfectly to the original.

Must be you guys, my white batteries from teh same batch Frick and Beach work like champs, granted they are 78mm but I get 7 hours of use before they need recharging.

How can you say "it must be you guys" when you are comparing apples to oranges? Yours are a different battery than theirs. I also have the new 78mm and they work just as well as the older ones. But the complaint on the table is that the minis don't work as well.

Thanks for the information, Leaford. So are the 'new' batch batteries the ones that are now in stock? I don't want to order 78mm batteries, because I rely on the mini-PCC to charge them during the day, and I don't want to carry a larger PCC.

For batts that were out of stock, like all 78mms and some 65mm colors, yes. The restock is all from the same new batch. For 65mm colors that were not out of stock, it will be mixed for awhile until the old stock moves.

Bear in mind that this is covered by warranty. If you're not satisfied with how long one of your batts lasts compared with other MF batts of the same length, and it's less than 3 months old, return it. Regardless of whether it's a bad batch, or a one-off defect.

And that I'm not really sure how widespread this really is. Obviously several reports here, enough to worry me, but is it a small percentage of the batch, or a large one? And are there any commonalities? Were all your batts the same color? (That might have been covered and I'm forgetting. Up all night posting again. ;))

Blue and green here. I didn't want to return them only to get 2 more that acted the same. They are less than 3 months old, so once the 65's are restocked I'll send them back for an exchange.
