I'm looking at the comments on this petition, and seeing something really interesting -- lots of folks who state they hate cigarettes, and aren't vapers themselves, but they support vaping as a safe alternative to smoking. Maybe our msg is starting to get thru, despite all the numnutz ANTZ.

This life saving alternative to smoking needs more exposure by nearly any means necessary. Disallowing the means available to bring a would be life time smoker to make the switch by trying and finding the juice and gear that suits them is counter productive from a health stand point. Vape shops need to be able to demo and teach safety by demonstration in a safe, proper venue. This means allowing the potential customer to try the different options available.

I left this comment too.^

But for now, maybe a curb side juice bar would be a good idea. Add a little sign with some info and an address to the petition.

Thank you all that have signed so far.
Please also feel free to share the link where ever you think it will garner more signatures. This is a first step in the fight to stop ill informed City officials from doing things like this. They mayor during the committee meeting made the statement "Vaping is a very effective cessation device" then voted to ban sampling with in vape shops. These people are beyond stupid and they are the ones making the decisions.

One of the shops effected, went before the board last year to gain permission (or whatever its called) to expand into a vape lounge. They invested $100,000. in this venture to have the SAME COUNCIL MEMBERS then vote against them with the sampling ban. This is beyond dirty politics!

This forum has tons of members, I really want to see the numbers on this petition soar

Thank you again

Bloomington city council had made up their minds even before the people who were there from the vaping community said anything. One of the Councilpersons was a former Vice chair of Clearway Minnesota, which is the most evil ants group ever. Little government groups like city council persons get a hold of an issues and vote against things just so that they can feel like they have power. Another vote was take in another city here, the Crystal Lake city council declined to vote on anything to do with vaping because they have had zero public outcry or concern from citizens on the issue.

Signed it.This is a real bummer. I live about an hour or so north of Bloomington and I really hope it doesn't spread to my area. It just doesn't make sense to begin with. What's the big deal? If you don't vape or aren't interested in it you're not going in there anyway. All this nonsense about a little water vapor.

I respect (though don't admire) the tactics of our opposition. Ban it everywhere, including vape shops. Then if you get enough people to sign a petition, okay, we'll allow it there. But just there, and nowhere else, you got it.

Even more reason why truly aware political vapers ought to hold the position of "vape everywhere, with respect."

That's whats so dangerous about this ban to vapers. You'd think they'd ban vaping almost ANYWHERE else in public before a vaping store! One can only ask where they are going to make it illegal to vape next?

Granted, this is only one city (That I've heard of).. Forgive me if I sound like a hippie or something, but even though my city isn't affected by this ban, and I don't vape in vape stores anyway, just hearing about this ban offends me and makes me feel like a part of my freedom is being jeopardized.

I don't know what Minnesota law is, but Cigar shops/lounges have receive exemptions from the non-smoking bans in several states. If that is the case in Minnesota, and particularly if there are cigar shops in Bloomington that allow smoking, I think that should be highlighted as a hypocrisy.

ordinances vary from city to city.
exemptions are allowed as there have been
cigar events sponsored at bars, paddle boats,
scenic train trips and,other venues.
