How our society is changing is just escaping me at the moment.

I meet so many kids being "bullied" who seem to think that words can actually hurt them. When I go into my "Words are just words you have the choice to ignore them, and the bully, and just move on with your life," spiel (it's longer I will spare you) well thank goodness most of the PARENTS seem to agree.

If I have to argue with a parent about the matter, I will come post her to inform you then quietly retire to some cave somewhere.

Petitions don't work. You know what works? The government. It is slow, it is inexorable but it works.

I am going not NOT waste my time but my sword is sharpened and my steed has been selected.

I hope it's not today, I have a mild cold. I'm fine but also not at my best.

I hope this hasn’t been posted yet. I did do a search first. Anyhow, I got a petition in my email today that made me so extremely mad and wanted to share. Please read it and see how absolutely uneducated people are.

It doesn't feel that way when you're 12. Kids who are confident enough to ignore it or tough enough to throw a punch don't get bullied anyway because it's no fun for the bully. To be honest, just telling kids to man up and get over it is about as helpful as telling alcoholics to man up and stop drinking.

It can go too far both ways. There's some useful space between survival of the fittest and safe rooms.

Yeah, no. I merely made the suggestion. However, with enough alcohol, if someone here were to do such a thing, I might bring myself to sign it.

Petitioner should take a look into a mirror, to view evidence that vaping isn't a prerequisite for arrested brain development...

Lumping nic,vapes and a certain psychoactive substance together... either utter ignorance or a clever move to line up more supporters who are even more ignorant.

Bit like that thingamajig where the put offshore drilling and vaping together.

I know this is off-topic but I had to say it.

I agree with the physical part of it completely. I am sorry if I excluded that. If it becomes physical or a team of sorts teachers need to know.

I think in situations where, like, some girl is laughing at some other kid and muttering under their breath like, things could be ignored and should be. Along with building up the kid's self esteem other ways.

I was bullied in Middle school. At the time I hated it but I now view it as one of the formative experiences of my life. I'm glad it happened. I'm glad I hid it from my parents as long as possible. And I'm glad it resolved itself. I did get threatened with beatings every now and then but never received one.

It was nice to learn little Anna could be proud of herself. regardless. Etc.
