I'm a newb and just like puffing smallish clouds. I'm fine with the flavor and the nic buzz that I'm getting. (I'm a non smoker that is new to vaping) I smoked the filter-less analogs decades ago.

I see quite a few peeps on youtube blowing big clouds and saying this device, RDA, RTA is the best, blah blah...(Like everyone wants to blow big clouds) Don't you think that blowing big clouds is wasting juice,,,,which is essentially wasting $$$?

What am I missing? I don't think I'll ever blow big clouds as you can only get so much of a nic buzz going. Do you really want to saturate your body with nic? I don't. I'm currently on 6mg and just bought a 3mg juice from a B&M down the street. (Just to see the place an patronize a local shop)

It really depends. If you are going heavier with VG. it will naturally produce bigger clouds. Granted many of the cloud chasing crowd are vaping 0 mg and max VG (we're talking the cloud competitions) but there are times when it is fun to blow out a nice big cloud. With my heavier VG juices, it amazes me when my exhales produces way more clouds than I could possibly produce with a cigarette. What you are seeing now though is that some RDA's (dripping atomizers) are being designed with maximizing flavor in mind versus maximizing vapor production. There are still the "competition" RDA's which is designed to produce as big a cloud as possible.

I've never gotten a nic buzz from vaping, as I've rarely gotten a nic buzz from smoking. The only times I've ever gotten that head rush from smoking was if I went an entire day without smoking (from the many times I've attempted to quit), the first cigarette after that one day off would give me a buzz. After that, nothing.

I personally needed the thick clouds more than the nicotine replacement to quit smoking. I just figure whatever each person like is the best! I encourage everyone to find what works for them. For me it is a box mod, a Doge V2, and some home brew custard. Occasionally when my home brew isn't doing the trick then I break out some Nicoticket. If you are happy where you are at that is pretty great keep doing that.

I have enough stuff to make about 2+ gallons of juice for about 300. So the cost of juice is a non factor

I blow big clouds, I enjoy it. However, I agree. It is somewhat of a waste of juice/money. I don't go to work with my RDA and chuck clouds for the hell of it though, its something I do at home that amuses me (sounds a bit sad when I read it back to myself). However you can say that anything is a waste of money to be honest, it's simply something people enjoy. I have a brother who goes out for 2 hour motorcycle rides. Waste of gas? To me, sure. To him it's enjoyment. If you enjoy something, its never really a waste.

I vape 0 nic, went straight to it after the first nic buzz I got from vaping. Never enjoyed the nic buzz from it even though I was a pack a day smoker. I vape simply for flavor and clouds, which to me generally go hand in hand.

I started making my own e juices so it isn't so hard on my wallet and I can make whatever flavors I'd like in whichever ratio I'd like.

I see, I wrote the initial post coming from a retail purchasing perspective. I haven't dabbled with DIY yet b/c I'm a newb. Maybe in the near future. (Then I'll be blowing big clouds,,,,lol)

From a pack a day to 0 nic, that is pretty impressive. Guess it's the habit of having something in your hand and a bit psychological

Well that and my first setup was an istick 30w + eleaf melo sub ohm tank and the guy suggested i use 18mg e juice that not only killed my throat but gave me a terrible headache due to the buzz. I enjoyed the flavor so I just kept on vaping, but with no nic. Now its all just habit, no chemical. I'm pretty happy about it too.

I guess it's a matter of preference. I, myself, enjoy blowing big clouds and I don't go through a lot of juice. I also am an all day vaper, so you would think I WOULD go through the juice quickly. I do have to say that I started making my own juice, because the local vape shop charges $8.99 for a 10 ml bottle, which I think is expensive, seeing as how I would go through 1 bottle per day. Maybe that seems like a lot, but when you're constantly vaping, it's not. Now I can make a 60 ml bottle for around $4.20, and it lasts several days.

Big clouds have nothing to do with money or anything else except VG. If you make your juice, for big clouds, in fact for champion clods all you need to do is make juice that is max VG(except flavor, which can go to 20%). So you have 20/80 based e-juice which produce nothing but clouds and consumption of juice stays the same.
For this and that device just watch pBusardo, he only have background and courage to say if some device is overrated or bull.....
Sorry to say, but with pBusardo all other reviewers on youtube seems unnecessary. Thats the fact that I am not like it.

My main mg is 3 for all day, I sometimes do 6 if I want a bit more kick from the nic, as I find it affects me like caffeine affects other people. I'm lucky that I really like a local B&Ms juice and find it to be comparable to expensive juices. I don't mind buying an occasional bottle for $20 for 30ml or so bucks if I really like it, but my go to juice is $10 for 40ml.

I'm looking to get into DIY simply because the majority of juices that I like seem like they would be easy to DIY. My ADV at the moment is Chai Tea, which I wouldn't be sure how to replicate lol. I chase clouds because I always took lung hits when I smoked, and I get the satisfaction more from having a dense cloud.

I like lots of vapour as you can see, I love the cold moist vape and the flavour on a higher wattage it's fantastic, it gives me the hit I need and was the key to me stopping smoking...It's not a waste of money to me, now smoking, that was a waste of money, I enjoy it, nothing better than a room full of vapour but that's just me.
One thing I will say, big clouds in public, is a big no no for me, that's the quickest way to get these banned, (certainly doesn't help anyway) I'm not that guy that blows clouds at bars or in doorways, I never take my subtanks out, I have other tanks for that, it's for indoor private use only, do what you enjoy as long as it doesn't affect others..waste of juice, waste of $$$, nah.......

A NON-SMOKER who took up vaping preaching about wasting money by blowing big clouds?

Mind telling me exactly how much money you've wasted on vaping that you didn't need to start in the first place?

How much do you spend on juice? $10 for 30ml? Maybe $30 for 120ml?

The last time I bought juice I bought roughly 9,500ml for $120. I can afford to waste a little if I want.

It's psychological. Seeing the cloud is more satisfying to some people. The nicotine levels of the juice are really low to begin with, and you get minimal absorption of nicotine doing straight lung hits. Unlike smoking, you absorb most of the nicotine through your mouth and sinuses when vaping, not your lungs.

My wife vapes similar to you. Small clouds, puffs only when she needs it, and totally satisfied with that. The doesn't care about the clouds, she's not even interested in different flavors, she only does it to provide the nicotine she's missing by not smoking. And that works great for her.

I do both. Mouth to lung hits about 80% of the time, but I do like the occasional straight lung hits and I do like to see bigger clouds either way I'm vaping. I use a different tank with lower ohm coils and more airflow, as well as juices with more VG which produces more visible vapor. It's psychological for me, I feel more satisfied when I can see the cloud.

The vast majority of us vapers are former smokers, and for those of us who have used it to help us quit smoking the "Whatever works best for you" mantra should always be followed. We're all different.
