Blu Battery Question

This may sound like a silly question, but I just don't know the answer. Do the Blu batteries have to be fully discharged before recharging them, or can you sort of 'top them off'? I know that batteries to things like video cameras, etc. must e fully discharged before recharging because doing otherwise lessens the capacity or something like that. Since Blu batteries have such poor capacity anyway, I don't want to do anything to lessen it.

Please don't tell me to ditch the Blu and buy something else -- I will do that eventually, but right now it's the Blu or analogs, and I'm choosing the Blu. TIA

You can but like any other rechargeable battery they have a life span; I believe its around 250 cycles after that they start decreasing. So every time you "top them off" you use a charge cycle.

This is incorrect. By charging before the end of the charge cycle, you actually extend the life of the battery overall, as well as increase the number of charge cycles possible.

That's why they have cut-offs in place, so you recharge them at optimal levels and they last longer. But they still have a life span as any rechargable battery.

The standard size are 80 mAH and the 100's are 230 mAH. So about 250 cycles for standard and about 290 cycles for 100's.

Now that all depends on use and temp. For me they would start losing capacity after 2 months. I had the standard and would charge each battery 2-3 times a day. That PCC was a lifesaver, I would charge the PCC every night.

To heavy usage for them. That's the main reason I had to upgrade to a KGO, even though its still in my vehicle as a backup for my backup.

Yes, I'm finding myself charging A LOT - thankfully I work from home, so it's not a huge deal, but it does become annoying very quickly. I'm waiting for my Volt to arrive - I know it's not a huge improvement in battery life, but it's my next step up & right now I'm stubbornly stuck on something that looks/feels pretty much like an analog. I also dislike (w/the Blu batteries) that you can't leave them plugged in once they're charged up or some safety mechanism kicks in & drains the battery (at least that's what I read.) Don't know if that's the case w/the Volt, but I guess I'll find out.

Ever since I joined ECF I've found so many people close by. I want to go to the vape meets in york but I always work weekends.
The premium pack has an auto charger for the batteries, so they stop charging when they're full. At the time I had enough points to get one for free.
From what I hear the volt will last longer and still give you that analog feel.

That's wonderful that the batteries will stop charging when they're full! The things that make me happy these days Batteries have sort of become the bane of my existence over the last week.
