I have a Blu Cig and have experienced a burnt taste in some. After takinr the carts apart I have found the atomizer has burnt through the center tube. I will add that these carts (some at least) were refilled. What causes this to happen ?
Pure and simple? Heat. Cartos can be pretty fragile. They need to be kept wet. When they get dry, they burn. Once they burn, they taste bad and need to be discarded.
Do you mean cartomizers? What Blu is currently sold with? Or do you really mean atomizer and cart like Blu used to be sold (as a 3-piece ecig)
If you mean cartomizers, yes that is what they do if you run them dry - they singe the stuffing. If you keep a carto damp with juice, you can get days of use out of each without singeing. nd avoid dark juices that drop a lof of flavoring sediment because that will leave blackish sediment that will look like it is burnt but it is just carto clogging crud fried onto everything.
And you can go discuss Blu in the Blu forum once you have enough non-spam posts or replies in New members (5 and an hour's wait) Blu Electronic Cigarettes
Thanks dormouse. I tried to post this in the Blu forum and it kicked me out as a newbie. I do mean carto's, just got mine last week and love it. I just wish the battery life was longer. I have since found out that the 510 pt will work with my carts so that will be my next purchase.
I also have blu with cartos and was wondering if anyone has a rule of thumb on when its getting too dry, i have had two go burnt so far but they were still producing decent vape and then suddenly taste horrible and give a rough TH. Im not refilling yet but plan to, so i need to be able to know when to stop vaping on a carto before it gets burnt with some precision. Any tips?
