New to e-cigs (chose Blu Cigs)

Hello,

I have been using my Blu cigs for a few days now. I was wondering, how do I know when I need to change the cartridges as well as the atomizer? In regards to the cart, they say that you should change the cart when it is no longer producing any vapor. My experience seems to be that vapor is still producing but the taste starts to lack fairly quickly (get a semi-burnt like taste). I am wondering if I am doing something wrong because when I first add a new cartridge, the flavor seem strong and good but after let's say 20+ puffs or so the flavor seems to decrease significantly.. is this normal? They say each cart is comparable to about 6 traditional cigs... and that you should get about 100+ puffs (doesn't seem like it to me). Also I noticed that when I add a brand new cart, some of the e-juice comes out of the little hole at the end of the cart too, is this normal or am I doing something wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to decide if I will keep my Blu cigs or return it..

It sounds like you're vaping them faster than they can wick. When you start getting the dry burnt taste take a paper clip, push the cart out of the mouthpiece and flip the polyfill (the stuffing inside the cart) over. You should be able to get a few more good drags from them. Modding the cart would give you better performance too. Get some Marineland Rite Size U blue foam aquarium filter from Petsmart, cut pieces 1/4 x 1/4 x 3/4 and use that in the carts instead of the polyfill. It will wick much better and hold a bit more juice.

I have the Blu and can't get vapor after a few hits, called CS and they told me to use a paperclip insert it into the hole on the end of the cart and gently push for better contact. Works but don't push too far or it's really hard to draw. I am upgrading I hate the short battery life on this thing. Gotta keep it so every little tip helps.
