Hello, i'm fairly new around here, already asked this in the newbie forum and didn't get much response about it yet. Was just curious if anyone had any good experience with any particular brand of juice and the blu attys. (not sure if juice is the right term for what i'm looking for, I'm just looking for the stuff that's all ready to be put into carts or dipped or whatever one may do with it). I've skimmed the forum a little bit in the past week or so, right now i'm really just looking for personal opinions on a few different brands to see what people like about what. If not too much hassle I could also use some info about which carts will work with the blu atty, or which attys also work with the blu battery, and so on like that. Thanks for any help. :)

My personal experience (and alot of others) with the Blu atomizer was that it was inconsistent at best. I purchased a Sidesho atomizer and a pack of empty carts from Modern Vapor. I didnt get more vapor but I did get more consistent. Basically, the few times you get a "good hit" is just about every time. Check out the threads in the Modern Vapor section (below the Blu section on main page). The choice is yours but that would be a decent place to get an idea on what is available for upgrades for the Blu.

As far as liquids, once your equipment works properly most liquids should work decent. The rest is personal preference it seems.

m801 atty and carts will fit the blu batts very well and imo make the blu into a pretty good ecig. I just order the sidesho, since its just a beefed up blu, but i can't say for sure yet. As far a eliquid different flavors affect throat hit. I've only tired a few but the cappicino flavor at 24 mg nicotine level has a really good throat hit, I've also heard the brandy flavor has a good throat hit. Oh and the m801 attys and blank carts are only sold at litecigusa.net.

I get terrific performance out of the stock blu equipment with ECOpure from Intellicig (available in the U.S. from InnoVapor, Cignot, and probably a few others) and VG-based (vegetable glycerine) liquids from Decadent Vapours, and very good performance from many of the Johnson Creek reduced-PG (propylene glycol) flavors, especially JC Original and Tennessee Cured, though those work even better when I mix in about 1/4 ECOpure.

InnoVapor sells teensy 3 ml bottles of ECOpure for $3, so you can try some without investing a lot in something you may not like (though you will have to pay shipping). Johnson Creek has a sampler pack of ten flavors for $22 plus shipping, but some people really hate the base flavor; however, the company has a ridiculously good money-back guarantee, so if you don't like it, you can send it back, opened and used, for a full refund plus shipping anytime up to 60 days later, so there's no real risk. As of yet, there's no easy way to sample Decadent Vapours liquids if you're in the U.S., although in the not-too-distant future they'll be carried by Totally Wicked in both the U.S. and UK.

Generally speaking, the higher the VG content of a liquid, the thicker the vapor it will produce, so any VG-based liquid should work very well. The photo in my avatar was taken while I vaped something VG from Decadent Vapours, probably either Parma Violet or Absinthe. (My review of four Decadent Vapours flavors is here.) Yes, I'm using the blu atomizer and battery in the photo.

Hope this helps!

That is crazy lot of vapor. I've never had that much come from mine, but i've been using the stock carts, so i'm sure that's the biggest reason. I read your review of those flavors, i'm very curious if you have any idea when Decadent Vapours will be available in the US. The diabolo loco piqued my interest, but the other ones sound nice as well. Also, I'm curious as to which carts you're using that work with the blu atty for your liquids? For now I'm playing with the idea of reusing empty blu carts, but that will only last me so long I'm sure.

In any case, thank you everyone for your help. I'm thinking I'll start with the ECOpure with the blu attys and carts just for simplicity sake. Looking at the site, i'm noticing several flavors, and then I'm assuming the unflavored is for 'cutting' with other mixes. (Still very new to all this, until a few weeks ago I thought I'd be stuck with those pre-made carts for a while.) As long as i'm going for the ECOpure for now, any favorites out of their flavors?

Actually, you can reuse those carts for a VERY long time-- I got my starter kit in early July and I still haven't even opened half of them! The inner carts pretty much last forever, and the mouthpieces only have to be replaced once they get a bit chewed up. The filler needs to be replaced, but you don't need to buy new carts just for filler.

I'm using 306a carts with the blu atomizer and battery (they fit fine, hold a bit more liquid, and perform a bit better), and I replace the stock filler with PET from Lipton Pyramid tea bags. I posted a mostly-detailed procedure for this "PTB" mod here, which is way more than you really need to do to use it, but it works for me and I don't find it to be too much trouble to stuff carts once every week or two. I find that one tea bag provides enough PET for four 306a carts, or five blu carts.

In any case, thank you everyone for your help. I'm thinking I'll start with the ECOpure with the blu attys and carts just for simplicity sake. I've only had the Gold so far, and it's a very subtle, very clean flavor. Most ECOpure fans are crazy about Rich, and I have a bunch of that on its way-- Intellicig had some problems with Rich coming out flavored wrong, but as of September 1st that's supposed to be sorted out. Unflavored (is that the "Fresh"?) can be for cutting with other liquids, or some people really just like to vape it that way.

And oh yeah, Decadent Vapours JUST showed up at Totally Wicked today, I think! Only in 36 mg strength, though, and only in PG. The DV guy says that eventually they should be carrying all strengths and formulations, but it may be a while.

They come with free Parma Violets, though. :)

Awesome, I'm looking forward to trying some of those flavors. :) Unfortunately for me I didn't even realize about refilling carts until I'd thrown half mine away, but hey i can make do with what I have. I was mainly wondering about other carts because I've noticed the blu carts don't really last as long as I'd like, but they'll do for now. I had also glanced over the PTB mod before, I'll needa study that in a bit more detail of course. Oh, and just read about the problem with the blu PCC... that's kind of a bummer. From the text of the email I got it seems as if they will be replacing them, at least they had better as far as I'm concerned. Kind of irritating to say the least, but what can you do. Better this than finding out the hard way. I think for the ECOpure I ended up getting one of the mixed flavors (rich cool?) and the gold. Should be here before the end of the week. Can't wait to start doing it the real way, lol.
