That being said, you keep saying the 510's PCC doesn't hold a fully put-together 510. However, in the pictures I'm seeing of these 510 PCCs, the pack is fuggin' huge! It looks really long. So how in the world does it not hold an entire battery + atty + cartridge?
I don't know, but that's how it is! I just pulled out my 510 gear for the first time in months, and screwed together the 510; when held next to the PCC, the 510 is about 3 or 4 mm longer. (Remember, the 510 is almost a full inch longer than the blu112 mm vs. 88 mm.) The 510 PCC only holds one battery (charging), one atomizer plus cartridge, and two more cartridges. Just a poor design, in my opinion.
And the m801 attys and cartridges are the ones most people recommend to fix the blu's problems, correct? Because I'm just not committed enough to go modding my stuff out with PET, dripping, etc. I just need to be able to screw in a cartridge and have it work, ya know?
Sadly, I don't think you're likely to fix the cartridge problem with a different atomizer, but I haven't tried the m801, so who knows? The only other atomizers I've used on blu batteries are 306s (I have a couple, and still use them mixed in with all the blu/Volcano ones I have) and 510s (just to see if it would work). The 306s do run a bit hotter, so you get a little more vapour, but it's not really enough of a difference for me to recommend that everyone rush out and buy them.
In my experience, the only real fix for the pre-filled carts is to refill them with a better-performing liquid, andideallyalso restuff them with a better-wicking filler. Kudos to the manufacturers for trying to make a more maintenance-free e-cig, but the whole foil-sealed cart thing just didn't work as well as they'd hoped.
By the way, since I dragged it out, I've been using the 510 while writing this, and it certainly does put out a lot of vapour. Not TONS more than my modded blu, but it's easy to see why it's popular among people who aren't as picky as I am about flavour and size. (I feel like I'm smoking a rollerball pen!) The ECOpure Gold it's loaded with is coming out almost flavourless, though.
